Of course she must apply! The success rate of GEP students getting dSA offer is like at least 90%, right? Compared to like maybe at most 10% for non-GEP. (ok, i'm just pulling figures from the air, but that's just about the impression). Note; i have no gep kids.

According to my son's teacher, it is around 85% for GEPers from past statistics. But I am not very sure about the figure for main-stream.
Angelee, my son is in a similar situation like your daughter. I am encouraging him to try at least 3 schools, RI, HCI and DHS. Actually his teachers asked all the GEPers to try all the IP schools.
If the DSA is successful, it is less stressful. If not, it can be a motivation for the kid to try harder. -

Fruitplus, your son is also in GEP right? There are only about 500 GEPers per year and a mix of boys and girls, so I think your son will probably be accepted. My daughter ah.... :?: -

Somemore the top scorer last year wasn't from GEP, she had to take GAT, but in the end, still get in right? Just try, no harm :).I don't think \"justakid\" can answer you definitively either since he is 'justakid', and neither can most of us, since anything can go either way.
why don't you just try. No harm, right? Afterall, GEP students already have a much greater chance than all of the rest of our non-GEP kids.
PS: My friend who got only A (borderline some more) for SA1 DSAed HCI and got inside. He's currently in my class. -

Of course, there are others that are not used to the PSLE format, because they are only given about 3 months to prepare for PSLE, mainstream actually started in P5 (more or less, especially Maths).
But since they are actually the so-call top 1%, as long as they work hard, they would not be too bad. -
The HCI website info on DSA states that SMOPS Platinum / Gold / Silver need to do GAT but some parents went to the open house last weekend came out and said Platinum don’t need to do GAT. Is that true ?

for RGS, if p6 SA1 mean score is above 80, then not need go for GAT.
