      Hi Esteema,

The hiragana characters look very hard to learn. How long take to master hiragana characters ? 5 years ?

Are there any nice Japanese song to hear, something equivalent to Korean \"Winter sonata\" that type of love song ?
No 5 years or 10 years lah. Owise I'll hv to retain uni le. Did it in 2 years intensively. Fun when u're overseas with Int'l students. Come to think of it, I didn't even learn any Japanese or Korean songs. Was only captivated by Winter Sonata then coz of its soft music & love story.

          Chief,

Never mind don’t get reading direction right for Chinese or Japanese script, so long as u don’t need it for earning a living. But for sense of direction for driving don’t get it wrong owise will be going in circles.

with ah boy at Bugis Junction, almost could not locate Challenger unit B1-26

the location of the store is rather awkward. you would have to take the escalator down from the street level.

was in town yesterday. it was literally POURING! in fact it was raining cats and dogs when we left home at about 11+.

hopefully the sun will dry my clothes before the rain comes later.

I think many people have flown off. it seems rather quiet although some stores have 11/11 promo.
bought camomile tea from vita kids…11/11 promo.
other than that, it was just window shopping and daughter chomping on her krispy kreme donuts.

There's a Challenger down at Bugis? Didn't know that. Most of the old electronics stores are disappearing...

there is a challenger inside bugis junction (can't remember which floor)...and there is also another challenger in the basement which is accessed via the escalator on the street level. I didn't know there are 2 challenger stores.

The one at the basement is the flagship store, located at B1-26, accessible from level 1 of the shopping street where you see those pushcarts. We did not know initially, came out from the mrt stn and walked around B1 of the food streets, thinking how could it be possible for a tech flagship be positioned among food vendors :scratchhead:

Then we went out of the main building to level 1 ( with the overhead glass ceiling) and finally saw the signage. Just like how we were lost at Hillion with its split level.

i'm always lost at hillion...don't know why I can never find the interchange...maybe the layout of the place just doesn't register in my head.
