Hi I agree Monfort is better.. just to share my experience..my son dont in PSLE & wif score of 209... when I appeal for several sch is either go thro the motion fill up the forms or cold shoulder but only Monfort the principle with open door & is with listerning ear.. now my son is top 10 in school.. -
One of my cousins from Montfort eventually went to Hwa Chong JC but his brother went to Poly so I suppose the school is pretty good in their curriculum and it also depends on the children who will thrive or not.

I’m clueless of Montfort Sec… is Montfort really better than any neighbourhood schs? need more advice

- St gabriel has affiliation to CJC, Montfort doesn’t.
- St gabriel is band 8 school, Montfort doesn’t appear to show any band so their GCE O level result did not make it to any band standing

Correction. ALL Catholic schools in Singapore are affiliated to CJC. Montfort is a catholic school.- St gabriel has affiliation to CJC, Montfort doesn't.

Montfort has a much smaller candidature for NORMAL stream. It would work well for the whole school… whether you are in Express or Normal. DO remember that if your child is in Express you will get Normal stream kids in your CCA activities. With a smaller candidature for Normal stream, it would probably be less stressful for the school to handle. Both Montfort and St Gabriel’s are under the same Gabrielite Brothers who run Boys Town. If your kid is in normal stream, you might get some form of help to get into Assumption Pathway in later years. Assumption Pathway is the only mission run ITE. It also has a brand new facility.
