Hi
Looking ahead, is there a typical combi from year 3 onwards? E.g… 2 sciences and 2 humanities or 3 sciences ?
Thanks in advance for advice! -
Anyone knows when the offer for Sec 3 IB will be made known?
-
sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but it seems that there isn’t an ACS(I) [O’ level Track] thread.
Not sure if DS will be get into the IP program, and am worrying if students in O-level track will be given lower priority in the school in terms of teaching etc, or face certain "discrimination"
Hope someone in the O’ levels track can give some insight.
Thanks! -
Hi just to add on to the above question
Would anyone know whether with a T score of 252/253, whether he might stand a chance to enter the IBDP?
Thank you -

Ha, ha.... Hv u considered dedicated teachers hv more passion to help motivated Express guys to do well to shoot for IP/IB? Or just find them now more mature & realised the value of hardwork & gives teachers that desire to give them extra airtime? Some of us think some teachers thinks students in IP/IB class shld be more capable to seek less 1-1 or personal coaching?
Anyway, just sharing what cld possibly happen. Just like some parents find value in mixed schools but some parents find teachers always highlighting girls are so well behaved & boys are less obedient & run down the boys by such comparison that parents switch schools for their kids.
ACSI hv a very strong No Bullying Policy and it gets escalated to P. S’times parents try to throw their weight ard to extent of bullying. Shame. P gets to know abt it. -
Next year ACSI having a new Principal right? Wonder whether the longstanding culture built up by the current principal will be successfully continued…
-
Hope good practices re-enforce & new & sensible policies effectively introduced & implemented.

I've lost track about the cutoff to IP. But i remember it's there about mid 25x ish. For boys who miss the IP cutoff by just a few marks and you are still aiming for IB, chances are high that your boy can switch from O levels to IP at Sec 3, assuming that he does relatively well in Sec 1 and Sec 2 and has a decent portfolio (CCA,etc.)Hi just to add on to the above question

This is based on the boys whom i know who have made the cut to switch to IP at Sec 3.
O level boys are given opportunities in leadership, etc etc. It doesn't do the sch any good to have rumours going around that O level boys are discriminated.
Personally, if you just want to do O level, pls forget about the prestige part getting into ACSI O level lah. Pay so much school fees for what? Not that the $300-$400/month school fees give a better O level environment. I was told certain affiliate pri sch keep telling their boys must get into ACSI.
But I just want to say that ACSI is known as a top IB school. So you will naturally expect more resources to be pump to maintain the IB standard.
I love the emphasis on zero tolerance for bullying. Sad to see Hodge go.
