be it IP, express, NA or NT, the kids have worked hard and done their best.

they will start a new chapter when they enter secondary school. as parents, we should provide them with the necessary encouragement. some kids are slow bloomers, so they will need more time than the others.

TwentyFiftyTwenty, I notice the schools that you are considering are located either in the east or the west. Is the distance from your home not a concern for your sister? The school hours are very long even without taking into consideration travelling time.

                  Hi TwentyOneDogs,

Is it possible to elaborate more in detail, how MGS (O-level) program is good ? Thank you, very much, for kind sharing
The MGS student life does not just center around results, but alot of holistic development in terms of character and CCAs. Teachers are supportive and good. From what I gather from my DD's batchmates, the O level results are also quite good. I don't have the exact details, but many of her seniors make it to ACJC. They also have the Sophia Blackmore Academy, which is a class for top students. High achieving PSLE students who didn't make it to IP will be in the SBA classes. These classes push the students harder in terms of academic work. MGS education is very well rounded, which is what is ultimately the most important as they give the best of both worlds.

                    Dear all

My DD scored 247. I couldn’t decide between Nan Chiau and St Margaret. Nan Chiau is nearer to our house but I am worry about it’s culture. I would like a school that is not too overly emphasized on academics. Anyone has any idea about these 2 schools?

Leaning towards RGS though. Too bad no more open house.

Wow! It has been such stressful and exciting times since the release of the PSLE results

Thank goodness my DStudents have achieved at least As for the languages. It has been hard on them, having to burn the midnight oil and doing that one more paper during the last mile.. . but it has been all worthwhile.

I am particularly proud of my special needs student who has also managed to chalk up an A for English. It has been a painstaking journey for him, one that was at times stormy and frequently rocky. But everything turned out fine at the end of the day and that is what counts. Lol

The pressure is on , to select the best fit for the secondary school. This is but the next logical step along their learning journey. With the many choices and considerations, it is certainly a Herculean task to deliberate over the final set of 6...

But if all goes as planned, my 4 students should end up in
                        RI,
                        SJI,
                        ACS Barker
                        and Nanchiau High.
Anyone with Ds Dd going there? Do a shoutout so they can be studymates or homework buddies? Lol

The next hurdle for some will be the Os, for others the Y6 exams... Whatevwr lies ahead, let us wish the kids a fruitful learning journey, one that is blessed with a double dose of wisdom and maturity.

For my students, I am especially proud of you and will stay by your side and see you charge ahead to your next finishing line lol

                        :congrats:
