Hi, i'm currently 12 and going to secondary school. The school i'm looking to go to for express is 204 and my Tscore is 203. Will i still be able to go to Express? Urgent! Thank you for any replies šŸ˜„

      Hi

It should be ok to put the school you want to go to as first choice, and if you do not meet the COP, then the system will move down to the second choice, and then third... until it finds a school within your 6 choices which has vacancies and you meet the COP.

If there are no schools within your 6 choices which meet the requirements, then the system will post you to a school closest to you with vacancies and where you meet the COP.

I see, thanks Fern. Do i still have a chance of express in the school? The normal acadamic score is 197. The letter reads that i'm eligible for the Express course. Thank you for any replies.

ACS (I) O level COP for Affi boys = 235

        SJI O level Affi = 238
ACS Barker Affi = 189 ( so long can get into express stream, old boys can confirm get in by 1st choice)

ot: (personally i like methodist sch, but we gotto "pass" due to dist constraint)

Thus, if your target school COP for Express remains at 204 or higher, then you will be posted to another school.

Nothing happened lah. She is just one of those who cannot sit still & focus, can be physically impulsive, and at the same time be overly sensitive re emotions & self-worth v peers. And she plays and cusses as good as any boy in those online MMORPG shooting games. So, she wants to go co-ed school. šŸ˜‚

Pirate your girl and my girl can shake hands.

Active and thrill seeking but also emo. Physically all over the place, emotionally also all over the place. Results also all over the place.

                Yah! :hi5:

Maths and science can suka suka swing from 95+ to 70s and vice versa. Throw away 15 or more marks due to carelessness. Rubbish all over the place. Clothes all over the place. Books also all over the place. Favourite ride at USS is Battlestar Galactica Cylon version...

Then come home and cry why the other girls in school are insensitive to her feelings and/or ignore her when she is always sensitive to them etc etc...

Interest in Ponies and assault rifles at the same time...

                :faint:

                      fable:
                      Quick statistics lesson:

MEAN is the average. So the scores of all the students who were accepted into the school divided by the number of students
MODE is the number that has the most repeats. With the T-score this is not really relevant as there are invisible decimal places that make the numbers more unique and even if there is a score with the most repeats it doesn't really signify anything in this case
MEDIAN is the middle value, i.e. if you line up all the students who got in according to their T scores, the student who is right in the middle of this lineup is the one with the median score.
So taking Nanyang Girls for example.. COP 264.Highest 285..median 268..does it mean with 301 girls in the cohort..150 girls scored between 264 and 268 .1 girl 268 ( to make it simple) then another 150 girls scored between 269 and 285?

Yep, I think this is right for the non-affiliated student population.
