sitting in front of the fan...or else my rashes will act up again when I perspire. it's rather hot & humid of late.
Super warm and isn’t year end suppose to be wet and cold? -
@MKS, you are right on 杨红樱. My DS1 likes it so much. Some of the books he re-read a second time. Also can try 马小跳 (about friendship). I remembered seeing my DS1 laughed so hard during reading. I have never see him like that when reading English story book. Both are highly recommended by my ex-Chinese school teacher.
Another chinese book which I totally can't remember the title. It is about a relationship between a gal and her grandmother. Quite interesting but has a sad ending. It was sad enough to see DS teared when reading it. Let me dig up the book among the mess.
@Chief....then you are very guai lah.
Library got comic books lah.....my noti DC grabs a few Marvel and also surprisingly has Alex Riders not in story book but comics as well though not a lot. -
MKS, everybody will encounter jittery and fear in the midst of preparing national exam. Don’t stop your DD reading comic book if that is the way they want to de-stress. This year when preparing for PSLE, DS still read in his spare time. I let him be. We also swim almost alternate days. Even though it is national exam year, but so what, life still goes on and still must have some other routine relaxation time. One can’t possibly hit the books throughout the hours. Still got to find space in between to reflect and to let loose.

Library stock plenty of comics - Marvels, DC, etclaughingcat:
Chief, you can read 3 books a day? What type of book woah? Marvel comic book also ah? :siam:
I wish got comic books leh. Library only have storybooks. Only the richer students can bring in comics. I remember after PSLE there were plenty of comics around. Teachers no longer seem to care.
After PSLE, teachers know the value of letting kids hv playtime & encourage students to bond that way. Mine knows that’s the time they can asks for permission to bring their card, boardgames to school. -

Where got DC or Marvel comics. So nice, nowadays. I remember after PSLE the \"fun\" thing they let us do is to \"learn\" a 3rd language - Malay! -
Oic. So though huh? My time, I enjoy reading all kinds of books not available in the common section. Those books used to be kept only at the Teference section of the library.

having rashes and because I start to clean up more often, my hands having water blisters. -

Oh dear, Janet. Do take care don’t let yr blisters burst. You don’t wanna hv any infections right? Are the blisters result of holding yr vacuum cleaner or scrubbing using detergent? Maybe can use cream rubs when u’re resting of go shopping/grocery. At least nourish your hands daily coz of daily cleaning,

I’m also getting lots of rashes fr some kinda insect bites recently. Mostly attached my legs but not my arms. Still trying to trace the source. Trying not to think it cld be fr my garden of herbs. -

lc, this is more of stress of not studying la :rotflmao: but but still need to take care..this kind of stress may be more serious
now getting dd to slowly go into revision mode..good idea, we got to do more exercise together..will bring her to Chinatown nlb (thanks to lee yl suggestion) to enjoy as reward too..
your side, everything settled? esp the tug a war inside the heart? soo good you know..your ds attitude is good so any school will be a good school to him..guess you dont need to worry much too.. -
Ah, library visit as a reward? Positive parenting!
My kids enjoys the library so much with its cosy feel & access to books, videos, etc. Also thankful coz after they’ve finished the >20 books I bought, it’s tiring for me to keep going to bookstores to suss out good titles. The NLB had helped defray my expenses :moneyflies: heaps man! I get to enjoy ME TIME reading up to refine my gardening skills.
It’s rewarding time for me too!
