:congrats: to Crescent's Class of 2017 for the stellar results! :rahrah:

My DD took her O Levels last year and collected her results today. I am really happy that she did well! 🙂 Kudos to our amazing and dedicated teachers for their hard work! 😂 I went down to witness the release of the O Level Examination results and was extremely shocked but happy that Crescent did so well! Can't remember the results for all the subjects, but here are some that I remember:

      L1R5 Means: 10.2
      English: 69.6% distinction
      Com Humans: 69.6% distinction
      Geography: 91.8% distinction
      EMath: 90.3% distinction
      AMath: 79.8% distinction
      Physics: 61.8% distinction
      Chemistry: 47.9% distinction
      Biology: 71.1% distinction
      Higher Chinese: 52.7% distinction
      Chinese: 77.8% distinction

I'm so glad that Crescent has done so well! I'm sure that the girls are in good hands.

With this results, I'm also really glad that my DD can make it to Eunoia JC. She has always been telling me that her seniors are doing really well there, with very caring friends and extremely dedicated teachers. But her seniors also told her that she needs to work very hard too. Hope she survives :?
Wow they have v high distinctions for geog! Don’t see history? Is there tuition or school offers extra lessons for these subjects?

I send my dd to wordsmith for her last minute intensive lessons before o levels. My ds has been with them for geog and ss.

My personal view is that CGS is as good as Cedar Girls

If I recalled (based on what the principal shown on the slides) majority of the students (seems like more than 70%)in CGS goes to ACJC, Hwa Chong, RI, NJ, VJ,

My dd graduated last year and her batch had stellar results. The average L1R5 was 10.2 and at least 56.5% scored at least 6 distinctions. In her case, her peers are mostly in HCI and RI now with her being in VJ. Her score qualified for HCI and RI. CGS prepared her well for O levels and we didn't have to really worry except for maybe her combined humanities as the teacher she had seem quite lax there. We had to intervene to get some external help 3 months before O levels but fortunately she managed to do well in O levels.

In JC1 for a couple of months now and we see a mix of IP (VS and cedar) and o level students in her class. She is coping well with the mid years and the new subjects, etc... which I feel that the O level plus program in CGS really prepared her for it. They had project work, etc... in CGS.

              Hi.
My DD is also now at CGS and she will be Sec 4 next year. You mentioned that you get your DD help for her Humanities. My DD also struggling with her Humanities. Will you able to recommend the tutor you got for your DD? Highly appreciated.
              TIA.

                Hi All,

Any good O level prep centre in the West Area? I need for my girl as she is struggling with her humanities.
                TIA.

We are at Kovan too and the journey is really manageable for my dd. Train to dhoby ghaut followed by bus no 111 to CGS. She is now in jc.
