Lee_yl,

:hi5: I just went Sheng siong, saw a new flavour and cannot resist. Buy to try. All of you are very healthy people. To me, me time includes munching unhealthy snacks while watching tv. 😛

Oooo, the concern is too much junk food will hv it’s unseen buildup in the colons, stomach & such. You might not see any effects in youth but it starts showing in late 40s for some. In fact kidney is one of the most punished organs by what we eat.

It’s OK once in a blue, blue moon to hv a burger or a bag of chips to share when watching movies.

OK. I shall stop coz I know these are but sounds/noise. Take care

As we age, we will slowly take more note on what we put into our body…recently I thought to myself probably time to stop or eat lesser internal organs.

You mean you “track” their weight every weekend? :nailbite:

Eat more beef, eggs and drink plenty of milk.

These few day, I took out the blender from storeroom to make ice slushy (ice, fresh fruits and yougurt drink). The kids love it.
Banana + oatmeal = mushy + mushy?

Banana not my favorite fruit leh...

You use fresh milk to boil oatmeal? I notice you all like to add cinnamon to the oatmeal.

MKS is correct. It is sliced banana so it won’t get mushy.

I only have fresh milk at home (not Marigold or HL though. I think they added sugar or some flavouring. I can’t stand it). We don’t drink other type of milk so I use fresh milk for anything that needs milk including boiling oatmeal in it.

                  Cinnamon in oatmeal is nice...

Maybe you can try other fruits too - apple, peach, kiwi etc. Add them just before eating.
Cinnamon with oats is very popular in the US - my friends use cinnamon in baked oatmeal and granola as well as boiled oatmeal.

I also dislike HL milk! I was so shocked when I bought it once - I think it's flavoured with vanilla? Made my tea taste so strange!
I made this for lunch yesterday. Boiled 2 tablespoon of oatmeal for 5 mins then pour everything into a cup of 3-in-1 Brown Rice Matcha cereal. Prep time only 5mins!

At 1pm I ate this, by 5pm I felt so hungry and shared one Nissin cup noodles with DD2! 😂

The bowls of oatmeal are quite challenging to wash.

I add a squirt of dishwashing liquid, then fill to the brim with water & leave it there in the sink to soak.

When I finally get round to actually washing the bowl a few hours later, at least there are no hardened crusts there. Much easier to wash. Same with breakfast cereals in bowls.

Fill with hot/warm water and let it soak for a few minutes. I do this to anything sticky, crusty or greasy. Makes washing up much easier.
