I am also along Yishun Ave 1 :rahrah:daughter is in P2 next year. I'm not sure about schoolber but grabshuttle has private cars so I think even minimum of 4 is enough. However, haven't yet received a response from them meaning not enough to start a route. :frustrated:[/quote]

Hi...thanks for the response! I can certainly join you if we regiater him to DLS. πŸ˜‰
So your daughter is already in DLS? How do you currently send her to school? Asking this because if i am to send my son there i will have to take public transport in the morning and it worries me how long it will take to get there. πŸ™‚ appreciate if you can share your experience.
Also, is the school and teachers ok?
Sorry for asking so many questions! Picking up a school is hard work 😞

My eldest was in DLS, now in Sec 3 SST. School is good and teachers are very helpful. We had no problems at all. Tbh we were looking at more than just academics. And so put our second girl there too.

Hubby drops her in the morning by car. Last year she was in student care until we picked her up after work. Wanted to bring her home earlier this year. So far, no luck with transport 😞

Thanks so much for the reply. Glad to hear school is good. I am debating between northview, Peiying or DLS. Other 2 mainly because of convienience of traveling.

Hi, are parents allowed to enter the school during the P1 recess time on the first day?

Thanks for the reply, mummyscopio. I am just wondering how many within this group stays in yishun/woodlands. Maybe can collate the numbers and then maybe speak to a bus company to provide such service to and from DLS.

Did you manage to find a school bus service from sch to Yishun? I tried both schoolber and grabshuttle, think we need to make up the numbers.

Hi! Yes there has been sch bus service from Woodlands since 2017. My son has been tking the sch transport and he gets picked up at abt 6.10am (he is roughly the 5th child in d bus by then). And gets dropped off at abt 2.20pm. School ends at 1.45pm. Drivers are caring and responsible πŸ™‚ :hugs:

Hi! My son will be starting P3 n my gal will be starting her P1 in 2019. Referring to the past experience with my son, parents will not be allowed to enter the sch premises during recess. The school's take is that the sooner the child is allowed to explore on his own, the better accustomed he/she will be. We were worried initially too, but my son was fine as he had a P4 buddy attached to him for the 1st 3days of school. The Form Teachers will also be there to assist the kids. The students will be seated at each class's assigned tables in d canteen too. So not to worry πŸ™‚

My boy just completed PSLE in DLS and I have 4 pieces of Director House PE shorts (M size) still in very good condition to give away to any DLS child in Director House (blue) who may be interested. I have PE t-shirts too but well worn. I stay just next to DLS. Anyone keen can email me at [email protected].

I also have 2 files of P5/6 Perceptum Learning Centre Math notes to giveaway to any DLS student who may be keen to have them.

As for 1st day of school, the P4 buddies do a good job looking after their P1 charges, so not to worry. Parents are not allowed into the school on the first day. I believe the buddy system will last for over a week or so..it usually works well.

A happy new year to everyone and may our kids have a meaningful learning journey in 2019!

So that we can give a call and inquire about whether if they have a similer service to yishun too? Thanks in advance.
