Me Time!

Ya, I was also thinking that since your girls are quite big already, you can switch from working PT to FT. Well, your hubby is right, working PT means you have more time guiding/be there for your older girl.
I was quite happy with the way things were - I delivered the work, and got to multitask at home, and only attended meetings twice a week. I worked strict office hours 2.5 days a week in another job a couple of years ago so the routine is not unfamiliar to me. I'm not keen to do FT as there isn't enough for me to do (unless I take on other responsibilities which I don't want), and I still take on the occasional freelance project, which I enjoy. My husband likes me to have more flexi-time to help my older girl when she runs into difficulties, though it's been happening less.lee_yl:
Actually, you can switch to working full time? 5 days a week kind.
Good news for the day: she got her last semester results today - mostly B's and 2 B+'s - which we are very happy with. The way she described her exams, we were prepared for worse. But my other daughter says she must have been \"managing expectations\".
Glad to hear that you are enjoying some of the occasional freelance projects, best of both worlds, flexi work plus you get to enjoy also.
You are one mother who has my upmost respect in taking great care and giving support to your older girl. I have been following your posts for years. Congrats on your girl’s results. -
leeyl, luckily no complaints on noise..hope your dd could enjoy some 'serenity' in her since P1 school before she graduates from it..sweet memory..
Or maybe I didn’t ask her...
Haha, actually pretty boring hor, study in the same school compound and have to eat at the same canteen for 10 years!
Was telling DH last night that we should have moved to Hillcrest Villa 4 years ago when DD2 was transferred to Rgps. Now we could have been sitting on $200K-$300K of paper gains!! Hillcrest Villa is within walking distance to both Rgps and NYGH.
Haha, you good memory leh, could still remember there was one I saw with a $1000 monthly maintenance fee ah. No, not that. Hillcrest Villa’s maintenance is much cheaper.
Heng, didn’t buy that $1000 monthly maintenance unit, after I walked away from the deal, it was still on the market for like almost a year.
Marketing was then taken over by the famous Lim Brothers and the house got renovated but still can’t sell. Maybe fengshui no good.

yalor lee yl, 1k maintenance fee is a lot..every month till you sell the house :faint:

Ya lor, why ah? Yesterday not like that leh.
I dropped my girl at the bus-stop outside Stevens Station then I will head straight to NYGH. I see those waiting to turn into SC, the long queue wasn’t not moving. On my way home, again, bad traffic (outside SCGS/ACS).
Both girls were not late as I don’t drive in to schools. Just drop them at nearby bus stops but they have to spend 5-10mins walking over to their respective schools. -
not sure if first day of P1 starts later…and now to normal timing? dd1 was so worry as her cher asked them to go earlier today…tomorrow got to get out earlier…today still carry alot of things so better drive in just 2mins before assembly…phew!

hey my dd changed radio channel to 93.8 started yesterday..hope it carries on all the way
