Hi, I’m a clueless mum whose daughter is in P3. With the upcoming SA1, was just trying to understand the subject banding/streaming this year. According to forum posts in previous years, there’s just subject banding at the end of the year for Mother Tongue and Maths based on P3 results? There is no subject banding / streaming for Science yet right? I can’t seem to find any formal communication of this process from the school… thanks all!

Subject banding is only for MT and Math, for English & Science, the girls will stay with their form class.

Can anyone share their experience for DSA interview sessions organised by the school ? Do you think it is useful and worth attending?

Are you referring to the DSA interview sessions organized by school for the students? It is good to attend if you are trying DSA. But it would not guarantee that you would be successful in DSA. If you prefer more intensive "interview training’, some centers offer such training like Paideia. I attended the talk by the founder who was in the RI DSA selection panel. I believe there are quite a few centers that offer such training. All the best to your girl.
