The website one not updated... yet.... The latest one sent out today - end of year exam (aka SA2) for S1 to S4 is 60%[/quote]And all subjects have EQUAL weightage. No more 0.5 for Geography & History, and no more 2.0 double weightage for LA for Lower Sec; No more 1.5 weightage for both LA & HCL for Upper Sec. Good news for those weak ìn languages, but bad news for Lower Sec when they are just expose to Geography & History.

Equal weightage for all subjects will mean all subjects are now all equally important in the MSG. 60% weightage for EOY will mean more emphasis towards written exam paper at the end of the year.

Dd received Invitation letter to apply for the Sec 2 Humanities Talent Development Program ( TDP). Any parents here dd participate in any talent program in Sec 2? Will it reflect in the report book after the completion of the program? The project will be graded, but will not be included in the calculation of MSG right?

I don’t think MSG is included but such prgm should be mentioned in report book (I don’t see why not). Just go for it!!

I did not really followed thru the program but i saw my girl enjoyed the program. At least she has an experience to interview those hawkers at Tiong Bahru Mkt.
My girl takes up the SIA proj under the Humanities dept this year (Yr 3).

Dd told me that during the briefing, cher told them that this program is something like what they did in the IDS last year, interviewing people and they will be going to Tiong Bahru for the learning journey too. Actually was telling my dd not to apply any extra program, so as to keep her work load manageable; but since she was being selected & letter was issued, I think it may be a good exposure for her to learn how to manage her work this year. :xedfingers:
