Compare to other developed countries, the cost of our public transport is still reasonable. With the starting fare at 83 cts, the next fare stage is 93 cts, then 103 cts etc. So a trip from Hillview to city area say Bugis, it can easily costs $1.50.

The Budget Statement made me even more conscious on money flowing out of my pocket. Hence I am looking ways to cut or reduce costs since my income isn’t going to increase.

I’ve been traveling more on the tracks these days. The savings, compared to driving, is incredible! For what it’s worth, traveling via public transport is definitely more economical for Singaporeans.

What about the time spent on the tracks compared with driving?
