Haha. I took further maths too, but then I thought it was so wasteful to lose one subject so I switched over to Economics and Maths B . Never regretted my move. Economics definitely more fun than F Maths!

I took a slightly different tack.

Physics, Double Math, Econs
Thought I wanted more free time (and unlikely to qualify for any scholarhip), dropped Econs from combo in year 2.

I took Further Maths, Maths, Econs and Physics. I thought this was a popular combi at that time?

Maths B is the regular Maths lor. F Maths was Further Math B.

Who? Me? I had 4 A levels subjects — F Maths, Maths C, Physics and Econs. I thought regular Maths was called Maths C? With my combi, I would fit into today’s contrasting subject criterion.

I m not sure whether this is that right chat group. I need help to understand how to work out the UAS score for application to Uni


Result as follow:
H2 bio, Chem and maths is A
H2 exon is B
H1 GP is A
PW Is A

HMT took during Sec 4 is A. Wat would be that UAS score.

Also based in the result above it is the considered as AAA/A or AAA/B?

Can someone enlighten me pls.

Who? Me? I had 4 A levels subjects — F Maths, Maths C, Physics and Econs. I thought regular Maths was called Maths C? With my combi, I would fit into today’s contrasting subject criterion.

Those who took Double Math, Physics and Econs (hurray to all of us) would still fit into contrasting subject criterion. Those 4 subjects are today's equivalent of 4 H2 subjects. While it is not possible to do 3 A Level subjects only anymore (meaning people like me cannot siam anymore), the 4th subject (H1) is equivalent to the old AO Level and isn't as demanding.

Previously, the minimum requirement to apply to university is 3 A Level subjects, GP + MTL. Hence, there's no need to take on a 4th subject if you don't want to... though most people do.

Those who took Maths (syllabus) B at A level are showing their age. The last year this was offered by JCs was 1982. From the 1982 J1 entry, they offered Maths (syllabus) C. Not sure about later changes.
