All About Choosing Piano Schools And Teachers

I don’t have any recommendations for piano (far too many out there).Hi parents,
My DS is currently in K1 this year, and my DD is in secondary school. Both of them want to learn piano and violin respectively (out of sudden interest, I'm quite surprised too). Any recommendations on good music schools (Cristofori, Yamaha, anymore)? I would want them to try out first, especially for my DD - who might be considered quite old to start violin? Not looking at private tutors (yet).
But for violin, I know Mandeville has a paid trial lesson. You can even ask them to loan you a violin to use during the trial. I did this for my boy aged 8 years old when he wanted to try it out. Just try it out - then she will know whether she finds it difficult to grasp the concepts, and also figure out is there any good rapport between the teacher and your girl. If your girl is comfortable with it, you can even sit in during the trial lesson to observe (and then after the lesson you can speak with the teacher for her honest opinion. They are not pushy). -

I think the primary consideration here will be if the school offers rental of violin or use of piano studio for free or cheap rate, assuming that you have not purchased any instrument yet. In terms of curriculum, teachers in music schools function like full private teachers except that they have to use only the materials sold by the schools, so your experience may vary greatly even within the same school chain. I would recommend looking at smaller music schools near your house for these reasons rather than the big school chain.Hi parents,
