The last we self drive or furthest is desaru - we dun like their road culture - though never travel that far for them to ask me for money , another reason is we dun speak Malay plus driving a conti car - easy target for crooks
Don’t think I can stay in JB Malaysia. Firstly, cannot speak and understand Malay is a barrier. Somehow you will always feel like a 2nd class citizen where good things and treatment are given to the Malays. Also, I cannot agree with their current political head... alway giving us problem and easily jealous of SG. Worst the corruptions are still there. Few weeks ago came across a famous food blogger blogging about paying $100 to their police for speeding Wah I thought now should be no more such corruptions already after the change of their head but still...
Many times before the change of their head, we always kena the police to ask for money at the highway. They always look for SG carplate and when it’s a luxury car. Lucky DH knows how to speak their language. I try not to go in to JB often. Don’t like the jam and the customs officers
If u guys meet Rude Msia car in Singapore road, no need to talk much, just call our local police to settle. Last time , my insurance claim took more than one yr to settle with msia road bullie in spore road - lucky can claim back . -

Your RC cruise to which places ah?
During our last Royal Caribbean cruise trip, it was overflowing with Indian tourists who likely took a flight to Singapore just to board the ship. It was so suffocating and in the buffet served, there were more Indian dishes than other forms of cuisine.lee_yl\" post_id=\"1900795\" time=\"1551576817\" user_id=\"17023:
Yes. Avoiding Asia cruise after latest negative experience. Again, it’s difference in culture & u’stand’g. Also, nationals of these hv to be given more time to come up to level with their behaviors towards more conscious of & consideration for other users in the same space.
Someone told me, in RC it’s either you meet the tons of tourists from China or India, you choose lor. Lol.
I m sailing to Phuket - hope they dun like to go island ... ahhhhh... I thought they just stick to star or dream cruise only ... ?!
Oh dear. MP, hope u don’t experience what we went thro. But chances are slip. Our earlier pleasant experience was South Asia covering Philippines island, Sabah & Brunei. That was early 2000. But recent one to Penang was not comfortable.
PRCs & Indians ard trying to live up but unfortunately they’ve yet to live up if they’re not conscious of expectations.
Used to be fun to go on cruise, with fine dining at the captains table, even sunbathing on deck. Ppl are more civil. Now feels like kind of infiltrated. Sorry, just hvnt accepted reality & doubt I’m able to overcome in near future much as i try tell myself to try. -
I think I can live anywhere also provided the place has relatively low crime rate and accessible to supermarket..but not those places with streets very dark at night and far away from other houses..that I scared even if in Spore
prc that I met so far in china or Spore most of them are quite ok to me lei..on the contrary I find some own people quite unpleasant...not all are bad/good.. -
Last time when I was working I already know it’s difficult to deal with the Indians (always delay payments)
Had the opportunity to meet a family of Indians when we went Krabi.
We had an unforgettable holiday there as the resort was very good with very spacious room. My children enjoyed the holiday very much except for one excursion to snorkeling where we were stucked with the Indian family LOL
Btw, my children has been asking when can we go Krabi again. Cheap and nice food and DH also tailor made few suits. Quite enjoyable and relaxing ... -

4D3N Malaysia? Can’t go far, kids skipped school (Oct period).

Our first time on RC cruise. DH and I were shocked by the large number of Indian tourists. Don’t think we will go back on RC again. 被吓到.
When I checked online, I was wondering why the trip before mine, most cabins were available and on promo wheras the date I chose, most cabins were “sold out”. So “sold out” could mean whole village of PRCs or Indians on board!
I brought my parents and grandma with me and they enjoyed it cos their legs have problem and can’t walk far. Cruise is suitable for families with young children or older folks. -
Lee yl we shall take note of that too…

Your 被吓到 very funny but true :rotflmao:
After our encounter with the Indian family coz they were so rowdy. Enjoyed blasting loud music away like nobody’s business and 手舞足蹈 as if they own the place we also 被吓到. From then on, if we came across any groups of Indians or PRC outside my children will roll their eyes and we escape far away

When I read some of the remarks here, I remembered my bad experiences many years ago. I will never step into cruise anymore even if I am on a wheelchair. :rotflmao: I also 被吓到. I rather go to Sentosa for sanity.
Experienced \"real human hungry festival\" made me  :yikes: .
Experienced a few folks in sari jumped into the water made me :siao: A fleeting moment, I thought they were washing their clothes in the swimming pool.
I remembered my kids got so traumatised by stood on the ground and just stared at their actions. I almost lost it. Feel like jump into the sea and swim back to shore. Nightmare nightmare nightmare. Worst than watching scary movies. -
serious :yikes: go East Coast also not a bad idea
