2020 P1 Registration Exercise for 2021 In-take

Hello, currently we are staying at Sengkang and the schools within 1km are Nan Chiau, Anchor Green & Springdale. We also applied for alumni for Pei Chun and Zhong Hua primary but haven't decide where to enrol next year.
Hubby just want to send to the nearest school which is Springdale but they have moe kindly within the school. Will it be difficult to enter via phase 2c?
Would love to send him to peichun but worried he can't cope with waking up early 😅 -

Springdale Pri (and Anchor Green) will not ballot for Phase 2C. Hence, it is a safe choice if you decide to go for that option.

Other than no direct public transport, Sengkang to Peichun isn’t that difficult or take that long. Waking up early is about discipline and some training. It can be done. -
Hi Expert Mums,
Need advise here. I have 2 kids, one boy and one girl both SC. I am living within 1 km of Kong Hua Pri but since both husband and I are not Hokkien we are not eligible for PV.
Knowing that our chance is slim for Kong Hua for phase 2C. Would you advise if I go for :
1. Maris Stella which we are eligible for phase 2B but outside 2 km for my boy?
2. St Stephen which we are eligible for phase 2B but outside 2 km?
3. Or should I just go for tanjong kotong pri / Geylang Methodist Pri Sch (co-ed sch) which is within 1 to 2 km under phase 2C?
4. Ngee ann pri (co-ed) with is more than 2 km under 2c?
Really lost as school closest to our house is too popular and we can only go for phase 2C and settle for school further away but eligible for earlier phase. 😭😭😭 What would you do? -
Has anyone successfully change the school for your kid in P2? now that P1 does not conduct SA and final exams, how does the school judge his/her academic result?

You don’t need a test to judge a student’s general academic capability.

Hi fellow parents! Understand St Margaret’s will be undergoing PERI upgrade in 2020-2021. Can anyone advise which address will be used for home-school distance calculation: the original (Wilkie) or the temporary (Mattar) one? Thank you!

It is always the original address that will be used. Regardless of which school.

Hi,
My #1 also will be registering p1 in 2020.
I wonder which school is better in punggol.
There are few schs within 1km, list below from the nearest to the furthest
Greendale pri (balloting history under p2c)
Mee toh (balloting history under p2c)
Horizon (balloting history under p2c)
Oasis (no balloting)
Waterway (no balloting)
Rivervale (balloting history under p2c)
I personally prefer horizon coz it would be a moe kindy in the school, so when my #2 gg to k1, I dun have to worry much about balloting again for him.
But I’d like to seek second opinions here about which sch is better among these few.
I couldn’t find any reviews about pri schs in punggol. -

Best? Probably Mee Toh - the only one with an established history.

The rest? Same same; cookie cutter.
Greendale has never balloted in Phase 2C and the last time it balloted was 2015 for Phase 2Cs (before the influx of all the newer primary schools).
If you are aiming for the MK, you will be better off applying to Horizon since the new policy will almost guarantee #2 a spot if your #1 is in the primary school. Greendale MK would be opening in 2021 and Oasis / Waterway have existing MK. These can be your backup if you don’t succeed in the ballot for Horizon.
