Yes, 语特=CLEP. The half language half literature part dats referred to is the synopsis of Chinese Lang. and Lit. (or CLL), which is a mandatory H2 level subject to qualify for the programme.

Tho I would say give it a full thought on it, your plans for ur combi and whr and how u r gonna apply during the JAE process.(Never apply just becoz u nid the points, or include the CLEP schs that u won't want to get into under the programme).

Thr is lots to gain from CLEP, but it isnt a too smooth sailing route. Be sure to expect to work harder than those taking common streams and never push too hard by taking subjects that put on unnecessary stress on top of the CLL.

Attached the information handout about CLEP on MOE website and H2 CLL syllabus fm SEAB. Hope it helps man. šŸ™‚

Ah ic so like CLEP is not a subject on its own :scratchhead: ... Thanks Liangbrolovesoccer for the clarification and insights!! :thankyou:

              Hi

May I know if there is only bus 327 from Sengkang MRT station to Nan Chiau? Saw bus 327 both inside Interchange and outside the station. May I know where is the correct place to take the bus to school.

Bus 372 and 110 from the new interchange goes to the bus stop outside NCHS gate.

Taking 372 from interchange is the same as taking from the MRT bus stop, and that will get u to the bus stop opposite NCHS. Tho I would find the most direct one from the interchange would prob be 110 since it would be sheltered all the way.

Someone posted this map on the forum quite a while back, prob might be of help if u r commuting by bus.

                    Hi all!

I have recently decided to share my notes out to those who need it as study material. These notes were written during my schooling days in NCHS a few years back. While the syllabus might be outdated (remember being briefed that my year was the last yr to test SPA practical exams), it might be of relevance in one way or another.

                    Sidenote:
To any juniors (and to any hardworking soul) who intend to have them as reference study material, do take some time to internalise them and personalise it to suit your study needs.

                    Link to the site: https://theresourceretreatbythebeat.blogspot.com/

Guess that would be a fitting new year gift. šŸ™‚

                    Happy new yr!!

Hi!! I am graduating fm NC this year and is deciding between NY and Hwach for JC. Had a hard time deciding as both JCs looks promising for academic performance and CCA. Heard some of my friends say that their seniors said service learning (sort of cip stuff) counts in the portfolio. Also, I am thinking of putting more on service learning

So I was thinking if I can learn more from another perspective (apart from what I got from seniors whom I know and at open-houses) about how both school go about this service learning thing, such as how much the school emphasise on it, how easy in the school environment to kick start such a project etc.

Hope to hear from any parents or NC seniors who are currently studying or graduated from NY or Hwach. Also, will be great to hear about how its like in other JCs too! ^.^ Thanks!!
