Wellington Principal is good. He was formerly from Admiralty Pri.

WTPS organised FOC parents workshops, such as the di zi gui workshop. At the end of the DZG workshop, the student has to serve a cup of water to their own parents etc. Other workshop includes Maths Model teaching & science workshops for the upper pri parents who wish to learn some skills to support their children homework.

CCAs are during school hours, only extra trainings are held after school for those school teams representatives.

School will also encourage selected students to take external tests, eg: ICAS, SASMO, RI for eng, maths, science. Subsidies rate for these tests.

Overseas immersion programmes for P4/P5 are to Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai.

WTPS group the students from P3 onwards, around top 80 students are grouped into 2 APEX classes (Maths & Languages) based on their academic results, which are taught at slightly faster pace. The rest of the students are grouped randomly, not based on academic. Although i not sure if they will change in the near future as the new principal has make slight change for the P3 & P4 for this year.

The teachers will depends on your child’s luck if he/she gets a good teacher or not. There are some wonderful & great teachers while some (main subject) teacher cannot make it.

More school events can be found in the school facebook.

Hi amberflo, my ds has been in Proteach for the past 2 years (P1 to P2) and will continue with Proteach next year. I think it is generally okay - they do check the students' organizers to see if they have homework. My ds never comes home with homework haha. They also allow the students to read and learn spelling during student care hours. During the school holidays, they organize outings which ds enjoys very much.

Teachers are alright. What puzzles me is that the Proteach teachers keep changing. It seems like the staff turnover is very high. Ds doesn't care cuz it doesn't affect him at all. 😄
