That’s great! My ds asked me why he has to go this year and not next yr when he is p6. I told him is fine if he want to go next yr instead… Then he replied:’ no no I want to go tomorrow…'… I hope he can get into his dream sec school… But I told him it would not be too easy as many kids are eyeing on it and only abt 50, if I am not wrong, can get in thru dsa…

50 is too low a figure. ds pri school already had more than 20 being selected. multiply that by 9 ge centres plus other schools and the figure is closer to 200-250. Can’t quite remember le. sorry.

            hi vlim,

1 of ds fren was waitlisted, the other rejected. The one who was waitlisted gave up and settled for nush instead. If he hadn’t accepted nush, he would’ve been in ri too. The other who was rejected eventually got in to ri with his psle score.

Then again, another of his fren, accepted during dsa actually scored lower that the cop and he was so grateful.

So, no guarantee that geper kids will get in thru dsa. But they will very likely get in thru their psle score.

Prep your ds up so that he won’t be crushed shld it be unsuccesful. There’s still the psle.

I know its too early for ya, but Good luck, k?

Do bring your kids to the RI open house if you can spare the time. It's not just listening to \"sales\" talk, the kids get a chance to explore the campus..it's really huge; they get to see the cca showcase, watch/be involved in experiments, robotics competition, and loads more. There's also an entire wall with photos of presidents and ministers of the country.

Have a good time if you're going.
wah, today sooooooo many cars parked along both sides of the road outside ri bc of open hse!!! Those type of days is when you shd hv additional adult to drop off with the kid while driver go find parking. *hehe* ... we did that for the dsa tests too, or else roads all jammed, carpark jammed. Altho' last year i did brave going for HCI open house on my own with baby n his p6 & p4 brothers and dumb dumb parked at HCJC carpark instead, so walked quite far.

Maybe next week i bring my p5 to dunman high open house. Does any DHS students/parents know the programme schedule, esp of the performing CCAs - if any performance? And where to park??
