Hello, Anybody heard about this preschool?
Sounded familiar as someone was talking about this in one of my mummy's group. Also saw some Growing Up Gifted Kindergarten in Thomson United square the last time......are they the same???
      Hi BBbabes,

Growing up Gifted (GUG) at United Square have evolved into preschools at Thomson and Tampines. As I understood, GUG at Tampines opened in March 2019 while the one at Thomson opened in April 2019.

I went for their school tour. Since it is still very new, there are not many children yet. School premise is very clean with friendly and warm teachers. Furnitures like shelving, cupboards are fixtures.

The meals are planned by nutritionist and they use whole-grains. I heard they only recruit experienced teachers. Their curriculum recently won awards and are designed to prepare the kids for P1 as well.

They even had a mobile app for effective communication between teachers and parents. Teachers will update daily activities by your child and parents can communicate directly with the teachers through the app.

So far I am quite impressed by their operations and patience in answering the many questions that I had.

They also have referral program of $200 rebate. If you are interested in enrolling your child there, you can PM me for details.

        Hi tinglebellz,

Did you enrol your child in GuG since may? May I know how is the review of the Tampines branch so far? I have just visited the branch last week.
Number of kids still as Low. The person who showed me around is very proud of their curriculum but fail to give me a sense of warm n passion for the work that she is doing. Most class only has 1 teacher because if the Low children ratio. When I saw there the kids are doing free play and 1 teacher was on her handphone. I m wondering is this normal?
How is the menu like breakfast or snack. I have seen some forum that they serve biscuits for snack or breakfast. Personally I feel it’s not nutritious to have biscuit for breakfast…

My son enroll infant care in one of the sparkletot, breakfast serving at from 8 to 8.30am. They serve cereal and sometime cereal with yolk. Wondering how other infant care menu? just cereal itself not enough, should have with bread and other food.

today i reached school at 8.30am, then the teacher said my son eat already at home and no need to feed, also breakfast is close at 8.30am. This mean that they are not going to feed my son breakfast. When i arrived, there was another mother with baby in front of us, so i assumed they feed that baby but not going to feed my son. I feel that since they going to feed that baby then must a well feed my son and breakfast at 8 - 8.30am is too early for parents to catch that breakfast timing.

GUG usually serves cereal or tuna sandwiches or jam on brown rice puffed cakes or wholemeal bread or eggs. These are served with milk or fruit juice. The kids can ask for more if not enough. Breakfast time is 8.30am-9am but also strictly half hour during this timing only as they want to cultivate routine and time management

                  Hi,

Any review on GUG at Tampines? Planning to enrol my kids into N2 next year. And of course potentially referral if there’s any.

                    Hi there,
I noticed that you were posting in childfirst forum previously. Are you transferring your kid out? I'm asking because I'm thinking to sign my kid up for childfirst in tampines. Appreciate your sharing!

                    Thanks
