Hi, my girls are 2015 and 2017 respectively.
I am stressing over school now . So my side within 1km there’s kheng Cheng , chij tpy (first choice but hard to get in ) and Marymount convent .

I know that if I want to be safe at phase 2C either Marymount or Kheng Cheng but I think Marymount has better chance since it’s a single sex school .

Was thinking to register PV for peichun (needs interview and because it’s v near my pils ) and I am also looking at st Margaret’s too .

Is Marymount and Kheng Cheng good ?
      Easy decision.

      Option A:
If you prefer single gender school, Phase 2C - CHIJ TPY.
If ballot is unsuccessful, Phase 2Cs - MCS.

      Option B:
If you prefer mixed gender school, Phase 2C - KCS.

Given that you have only 2 girls, first option would be smarter choice.

Thanks both Zac’s mum and floppy .

Anyways if 2CS I pick Marymount in the event 2C I can’t get chij tpy .what are the chances that I will get Marymount at 2CS though I stay within 1km. Does it mean within 2CS I get more priority since I stay within 1km . Looking at the stats at 2CS there might be a chance that I would have to ballot but not too sure is it within 1km ballot or those that’s above 1km.

With the exception of last year IIRC, MCS had only balloted for PR > 2km in Phase 2CS. I think SC < 1km is super duper safe in Phase 2CS for now.

Yes, you must be accepted as a member before the date. See MOE https://beta.moe.gov.sg/primary/p1-registration/registration-phases-key-dates/ for Phase 2A1:[quote]You are a former student of your preferred school, and have signed up as a member of the alumni association before 1 July (YYYY - 1yr).
Your application won't be approved instantaneously. Depending on your alumni association set-up / constitution, your application may need to be verified and approved by the exco during one of their meetings. Some alumni's exco meetings are held monthly, others are held quarterly. Therefore, it is possible for you to wait up to 3 months before your application is approved. In short, there's a real possibility that your application may not make it in time if you have not heard anything by now. My suggestion would be to give the association a call ASAP.

Alumni exco members are volunteers and former students like you. I would not be surprised if they are not holding a meeting in June due school holidays (bringing kids out, etc).

You would probably need to check with your alumni association the following:
Starting date of membership - is it based on submission date (the date they received) or approval date (the date exco approved)?
If it's the former, you are in time to meet MOE cut-off. If it's the latter, you may be out of time if they are not meeting / approving by this week. If you withdraw, you will be push back to Phase 2A2. For some schools, Phase 2A2 is still relatively 'safe'.

                        Hi All,

                        My very first post 🙂
My girl is due to start P1 in 2021 and I’m considering my options now. Narrowing down to St Hilda’s and Haig Girls. Anyone able to share insights into these schools?

                        Thanks
