St Nicks has always been popular among the Chinese Catholics. That’s where the bulk of the 2B applicants come from. And there are plenty of new housing <1km (including plenty of resale sellers listing in the market).

hi . i am going for phase 2c. im deciding between ngee ann pri and taonan.

looking to ballot on the last day depending on the availability. i suppose my husband n i need to camp at both schools to monitor the situation.

wouldn’t the general office be super crowded if many kiasu parents do this? would the general office chase us out? anyone has done this b4?

Taonan will definitely ballot < 1km whereas Ngee Ann will either ballot between 1-2km or > 2km. Hence, should be quite straightforward for you to decide on the eve of the penultimate registration day without camping in the school.

If you are > 1km, Taonan is not an option.
If you are going to ballot with the 1km crowd, go for Taonan.
If you want a secure place < 1km, go for Ngee Ann.

no. based on kiasuchief stats, both will need ballot <1km

my house is within 1km to both. hence we want to check on the last day. so the questions remain if general offices are ok for us to camp there on the last day of phase 2c.

            thank u

thank u[/quote]Not sure if you are reading https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/article/marine-parade/ correctly. In the last 13 years, Ngee Ann Primary had never once balloted for SC < 1km. The closest is SC 1-2km in 2013. Even last year, where birth rate was much higher, Ngee Ann Primary only had to ballot SC > 2km.

What makes you think this year is going to be different?

Therefore, I don’t think you will have to wait till the last day to make a decision. The decision is fairly straightforward for SC < 1km, ballot for TNS or secure a place for NAPS.

Im registering my child this year at holy innocents primary sch under phrase 2a2, as i am an old boy. However we are thinking of monitoring nan chiau under phrase 2c as the school is within walking distance <1km.

What are the chances? Nan chiau already has 144 slots taken under phrase 1.

No need to waste time monitoring. Guaranteed balloting for SC < 1km.

Therefore, you have to decide whether giving up a confirmed place in a school is worth it for a shot in the dark.

                        Hi Parents,

wanted to check where to get the info of Phase 1 of Red Swastika School (RSS)?
am considering RSS and Temasek Primary

but Temasek Primary is popular this year for 2020 admission with 104 taken up in P1 phase and they had reduced intake… i had done Parent Volunteer for Temasek for Phase 2B but likely got to ballot for it

So thinking if really reach Phase 2C which one got higher chances?
                        im <1km for RSS
im >1km to <2km for Temasek

seeking all of your gracious advices

                        thanks!
