Thanks so much for sharing with me. How do i read the balloting results? % means chances of balloting?
% is the percentage of actual oversubscription in that year (ie total number of applicants/total number of vacancies for that phase x 100).
Usually...meaning in most past years...>2km will get a chance to undergo balloting. If you do get a chance this year, good. There’s no other school you can or would apply to under 2B anyway right??zac's mum\" post_id=\"1915101\" time=\"1560982306\" user_id=\"53606:
Thanks Zac’s mum! Would you know what are the chances for Maris Stella if distance is greater than 2km?
Take a look at the balloting history for MSHS here:
https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/article/toa-payoh/
But...given the swarm of new Bidadari <1km owners expected to apply to MSHS this year, I dunno how many are Catholics. So...you may be edged out and never get a chance to ballot. Distance priority wins.
KSP 2019 balloting risk analysis is out. I dunno why it wasn’t publicized here. I got it by email as a subscriber:
https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/article/2019-p1-registration-balloting-risk/
Those boxes with colours are *actual* balloting in those years (not chance of balloting k). Means most likely later years will have balloting for those distance too. -
Hi, my son is a baptised Catholic but my husband and I are not. Are we considered phase 2B or phase 2C?

That is quite unusual. Check with the school.

3 of the catholic schools I enquired requires either 1 parent to be baptized, child not necessary, to be eligible for 2b. Check directly with the school you are aiming for

Hi all,
Currently, living more than 2KM from ACSP and ACSJ. Eligible for Phase 2B registration. Which one should I go for? If 2B fails, worth it to go for 2C? Any advice is appreciated. -

If you fail 2B, that’s game over for you and ACSJ or ACSP. -

That’s rather unusual. I didn’t think that the Catholic Church would allow a baptism of a child if at least one parent wasn’t a Catholic?
Hi, my son is a baptised Catholic but my husband and I are not. Are we considered phase 2B or phase 2C?
In any case, you would probably be applying under Phase 2C if neither you nor your husband are Catholic. If either of you are a lapsed Catholic but still have your baptism certificate, then you can technically apply under Phase 2B.
The schools I enquired with were pretty strict about needing the parents’ baptism certificates; they didn’t need to see the child’s.
As the previous posters mentioned, it’s probably best to enquire directly with the schools you’re thinking of enrolling your son in. -
Was wonder any kind shhk member willing to endorse me to the clan , wanting to expose my kids to their Chinese roots
