Appreciate if someone could help clarify the RMPS 2B breakdown statistics reflected on balloting.xyz

Total vacancies - 200
Phase 1 final - 83
Phase 2A1 final - 26
Phase 2A2 final - 25
Phase 2B vacancies - 33 ?? :?
Phase 2C pre-allocation - 20

Based on the known numbers shouldn’t the allocated 2B spots be 200-83-26-25-20 = 46 instead of 33 ? :? Many thanks in advance

Hi,
Total = 200
Reserved = 20 for 2B, 20 for 2C
Vacancies left at the end of P2A2 = 160-83-26-25 = 26
26 will be splitted equally to 2B and 2C
So, 2B = 20 + (26/2) = 33

Were there less vacancies at this stage last year?
Is there any chance for ballot at Phase 2C (1-2km)?
Most probably ballot at <1km

Hi,

I am staying in bukit panjang ( senja area) and this year its P1 registration for my elder son . We are very confused on which school to choose.

Westspring,  westview and Greenridge are within 1km.

But don’t think there are chances for westspring in phase 2C. So thinking on which should be best option among the other two schools Available.??

Any potential reviews and suggestions would be very helpful and highly appreciated . Thanks in advance.

\"Best\" is subjective. What is best for one person is not necessarily best for another. Suggest that you spend some time exploring the surroundings of the school or to attend their open houses to understand more.

West Spring needs balloting for SC < 1km. The other 2 should be safe for SC < 1km.

Hi Davischew,

If I understand correctly, the chance of getting into Northland/ Huamin under 2CS is zero based on previous data?
For Northland/ Huamin, there is balloting required for 2C for SCs that live <1KM?
Correct me if I am wrong.

So my best chance will be to monitor all 3 to see which one better chance of balloting for 2C? and forget about getting in Northland/ Huamin under 2CS?

Thanks again!!

Hi all,

Looking to enroll my boy into ChongFu under 2C (<1km) and my next choice (2CS) will be Northland/ Huamin Pri.
What are the chances that he will get into ChongFu? Will Northland or Huamin be filled up before 2CS?

Any suggestion/ advice? Pls help! Appreciate all feedback!

For the last few years, all the 3 schools you mentioned balloted for <1km at 2C. Probably need to monitor all 3 to see which one better chance of balloting on the last day.

hello

i am a PR living in Newton Area. Plan of registration was going to be St. Joseph Inst first in 2C and if we can't get in, BTPS. However, i am now wondering if I should just apply BTPS directly in 2C because the number of spaces are reduced compared with previous years i.e. if I keep that as my second option in 2C supplementary I might not get a place.

Reason because, there's a reduction of 30 places this yr it seems? Am I right in interpreting this table below?

https://postimg.cc/Czkm7SWb

Would appreciate some wise counsel on whether to try for SJI in 2C and fall back on BTPS in supplementary if SJI is full and no space for PRs.

Many thanks!

nervous mum who is first time applying for primary school for my kids...

SJIJ 100% no chance for PR in 2C. Maybe can consider BTPS in 2C

PR all distance in 2C no chance.
