It's just a phonecall away, call and try. Who knows if the admin had a good/bad hair day 🙂

on the last day of Phase 2C registration, during that last hour or so towards 4.30 pm, RGPS have to provide statistics, because those SC staying outside > 2km under Phase 2C need to know how competitive is the balloting going to be.
In the event if really far too competitve, some parents may decide to withdraw, go to some other primary schools no need to ballot for SC under 2C, eg. to Marymount Convent

Agree. At this era of smart nation, maybe MOE should have a real-time website for applications at least to reflect the last day of each phase. Else some ill-informed parents will be stuck with zero/low chance at the most important phase 2C.[/quote]Firstly, I caution against the expectation that the school must provide or have to provide the statistic. Right until the last second, they are still under no obligation to inform you the latest numbers.

There are several challenges in keeping one updated. For example, at D-30mins, the admin come and tell you 25 applicants under 1km for 25 vacancies, all > 1km must 跑路. At D-20mins, 2 of the 25 applicants decide to withdraw because their top dream school now got chance. Then how? Recall back those who 跑路? Those > 1km who stayed behind or didn’t run fast enough 拾到宝 because they get to ballot now. If you are one of those kiasu 跑路 but then realise there was actually a chance, how? Bang balls or go back school bang table?

Therefore, parents should go in with their eyes wide open. If the admin provides you with info, great. If not, keep your senses on high alert.

As of D-1 day? MOE website already provided that.
D-4hr (ie noon)? Many schools do that.
D-1hr? Schools who always ballot usually do that.
Schools who usually / only ballot < 1km may not even put up detailed info but will turn down those > 1km straightaway.

There are certainly merits in having some info up, but real-time info? Probably not.

Real-time means most up to date. It will change to reflect the real situation. Don't worry, it will not change as fast as the stock market.

I agree with Veyron, \"real time\" data will never really be real time. The consequence is only to make the whole process even more stressful for some parents who spent 24-7 watching the numbers. There's beauty in incomplete information, chaos and uncertainties - that's the beauty of life :imcool:
