Depends how you define Hao liao. We are happy with 酸辣粉,饺子,土豆,lotus roots, luncheon meat, bean curd skin in Mala soup. All these are our “Hao liao”, 😂 but they are cheapo stuff.

I think bcos just 2 pax sharing one pot of soup, there is already a min charge (almost $20). Drink tea $3, take their chilli add $4 (per pax)...

So far, I have not eaten anything like $20+ per pax at HDL!

Joining in the fun here on HDL. Sometimes they have lunch promotion like the below, $15.80 to $19.80 ++

I tried once for lunch promotion, bill was $50 for the 2 of us.
I think prices are cheaper from 12am to 3am too if you want to eat HDL for supper.

I saw this ad that day. But not valid on PH/wkend lunch. $50 for 2pax very reasonable.

OMG, 12am-3am eat HDL as supper can “die”! 😄

Since there are so many foodies here: any suggestions for a quiet dinner for 2 tomorrow night? Not too expensive (under $40 per head?), preferably in the west/central area. Other requirements are no chilli, no dairy, not too heavy food (waistline considerations). Japanese, maybe? Thanks!

Not a foodie but sharing a favourite Jap restaurant that my family frequents on special occasions. We enjoy going to Tomi Sushi. You can try their Novena outlet at Velocity http://www.tomisushi.asia/novena/

If you fancy atas vegetarian options, there's Sufood @Raffles City or Elemen @Harbour Front
