my gal says she was asked 6 questions for english oral :nailbite: :nailbite:
      1) do you think the poster is useful to remind pupils
      2) what other methods can teachers use to remind students to keep the computer lab clean
      3) tell me about an experiences that you have forgotten to do something
      4) how do you feel about that experiences
      5) what will you do to help your family members or your friends, to remembers things that they need to do
      6) what date will you surely not forget

she say, 1 of her examiner actually dozed off in the session. 😓 😓

for qn 6, she answered that she will not forget her SA1 and Prelims date.

      *sweat*
so many questions asked... hope she did not perform badly... :nailbite: :nailbite: :nailbite:
for English, standard also 4 questions? if 4 is standard, it could means DD is not answering well, so the examiners need to ask her more questions.

my gal says, her SA1 and Prelims, she was asked 6 questions also, she scores 20+/30. rating for both components is on 2nd tier.

You mean your child’s school Chinese teacher did not tell them about the Tier Chinese oral marking scheme thing ?

        I hope she knows!

The Tier marking scheme will be given to parents for children’s mid year exam and prelim exam’s results for oral.[/quote]Anybody knows whether MOE will do a moderating on the scores based on two days since there are different topics?

It's really very unfair for CL-day1 and EL-Day2 students. They should do at same day or moderate based on the avg scores of two days topic.

Unfortunately my son is in this group. He is very upset by the test topics for both days.

Can we complain to the Media or PSLE test center?

              English Oral Questions:

              1) What does the poster reminds us to do?

              2) How can u make the poster more attractive to others?

              3) Have u ever forgotten something before?

              4) How do u help ur family / peers not to be forgetful?

              5) Which date would u never forget?

These were the questions which were posed to my girl.

Friends’ children were asked about the above 5 questions too.

Below are the 3 questions that the examiners asked my child.

              1) Do you think this poster is useful. Why?

              2) Have you ever forgotten something before? Tell me about it.

              3) What can you do if you have a family member who is forgetful ?

Anyone knows why some children get 5 questions while some get 3 questions for English Oral?

              Any parents/teachers can advise?

                  Hi

Does that means if the child score 30/50 for their oral which is only 15% of the total score for Chinese. 15% + 75% =90% they will never score A* due to their oral grading moreover they will not able to score full mark for compo and Paper 2. :scared:

Actually for school chinese oral, for both SA1 and prelims we did not get any breakdown at all. Don’t even know how much for reading or conversation, let alone content mark or language mark for the conversation. During mid year ptm, I asked teacher and she only gave general feedback, never reveal mark breakdown also.

It could be the student is tier 1 for content and I want to decide the exact marks to award the student.

It could also be I want to see how he/she respond to this/these 转向问题 and if he/she does well, I can switch up his/her tier from 2nd (highest 12 marks) to 1st (lowest 13 marks).

Of course, through the answer, will affect the other 15 marks too (language component).

All these 'little' marks are important. For example: Content 12 Language 13 vs. Content 14 Language 14
difference is 3 marks already (can easily affect quest for A*)

Same for my DD. they only return her a grading sheet, showing where is the tick and only tell her, her marks range. no exact marks.
