Hi fellow daddies/mummies,


guess I'm a super duper kiasu father-to-be.

My new home within 1KM-radius, there's only 1 Pri Sch, and that
is Haig girls'.

1) Now, clear what problem i have now, right? If I approach my GRC
meet-the people-session, do i have greater chance, anyone has
experience with that?

2) Between Yu Neng and Kong Hwa, which pri sch has the edge over
the other? and why? I have seen the academic result, seems Yu Neng
better in result. Nevertheless, am also concerned of the learning
environment.

ADD:
3) can anyone explain for phase2B, which is PV, the application for most
popular pri sch is 100%, but how come the TUR is always lower?

I am looking for a primary school for my son in Tanah Merah, Bedok area. How is Temasek Primary School? How are the teachers? Do children have complete all-round development? How well are the reults of PSLE? DO they have GEP programe? Or any student from this school get into GEP? Please advice.

Can someone advise me whether Red Swastika is still good and worth travelling from Sengkang to study there. My boy will register for next year P1 soon.

Is it very academic or develope the child to be all rounded.
Is it more pro chinese and how’s the English standard there ?

And have someone tried the Red Swaitika student care and can give me some feedback or advise.

Red Swastika phase 2C : 2006 to 2008 : Ballot within 1km
Yuneng phase 2C: 2006/2008 : Ballot within 1km; 2007 : Ballot for 1-2km.

Looks like u may still need to ballot if u stay within 1km of either school.

That depends which year is ur child borned in?
If 2004 - latest start PV by mid 2009, some schs accept from end 2008
If 2005 - latest start PV by mid 2010, some schs accept from end 2009.

Other yrs, pls back calc on ur own.

Hi, I am mom of a 2005 boy. I have shortlised a few schools and found temasek pri best meet my criteria (I am focusing more on non academic areas like developing the child based on his strength, a nurturing environment ie motivating and patient teachers over academic excellence). This is based on my findings from reading their websites and the awards they have received.

Now, I wonder how life is really like for a child currently is or was from the school. I have no wish for my son to be constantly doing his homework and going for enrichments/remedials even during the holidays.

Is there such an ideal local school in Singapore

By the way, I am planning to move so location is not really so much of an issue.
