ME TIME!

buds,
what time did you wake up to bake ???
:salute: -
SBKS:
I'm a virgo, theoretically should be a perfectionist but not in every way. Oh boy, I'm totally sloppy in my house chores
yeah....dun expect too much of urself to do everything in perfection.janet_lee88:
i cannot expect perfection from others...ridiculous, right ?
i am learning to let go asking too much from myself...hard but gotta try.
don't be a slave to the house...do what i want to, close my eyes, make myself happy.
yes....dun expect others to be perfect or others to do the perfect way like u wanted to.
SIGH.....still learning...so tough...ma chiam like changing personality.
And whenever my kids make a big fuss over some homework issue, trying to be perfect, I always tell them aiya ιδΎΏ la, as long you scribble something to submit to teacher is good enough, no point spending whole day agonising over it.
I think there should be a balance. No doubt it's good to try your best but it should not be too extreme. Time management is equally important too, don't get carried away by one piece of homework and what about the rest?
My dd1 bua tahan, 'mummy, cannot ιιδΎΏδΎΏ!'
However, I'm a perfectionist in the few things I perceived to be of utmost importance eg. my marriage. Cannot have stain like EMA. No way to forgive and forget.
And I have slight ocd over hygiene, so cannot eat food I perceived to be not clean enough or touch door handle/lift button
Conflicting personality :nailbite: -
DH overseas so after kiddos went to bed last night, I had me all to myself. haha
Undisturbed, uninterrupted time for me to do what I want. It was scrub a dub dub in the bathroom. Nope not cleaning the toilets, but giving my skin some pampering. Out came the aroma oils and burners, exfoliating salts, masks and moisturisers and of course my favourite songs and music. Came out feeling reborn.
Then it was time to curl up in that big bed that I have all to myself with a movie or book. I chose book, reading one of kiddo's books to make sure it is suitable for them.
Feel a bit guilty that I am so gleeful with DH overseas. -

I enjoy reading them too lah. The very obviously kiddy books don't have to scan. It is those that are classified, pre-teens or teens that I will read through to make sure not too much stuff like sex, drugs, self mutilation, suicide theme in them before I let DD read them. DD 10yrs old, sometimes going on 16yrs old, at times going on 6yrs old. Neither here nor there in terms of cognitive and emotional maturity.

Can imagine them so psyched to see this when they woke up.
My favourite ones are anything with chocolate bits in them. Any nuts would be a bonus.
I also prepared hubs' favourite banana walnut flavoured ones for breakfast since I had some bananas to spare. The house smelt great. :please:

You know me so well now aye?
I went to bed right when chubs and dragon_boi woke up for their boobie-feed around 5plus. By then, the last batch of muffins were left with under 10 mins in the oven, so i just left it and slept thru hugging my boys to sleep even after they both finished bf-ing. The girls and hubs normally wakes up around 5:15am to 5:20am. Their morning transport arrives at 6am, sometimes 5:50am oredi downstairs. :siao:
So, yah... *stretching and yawning* ...
Good morning all!. :imanisland: -
so nice of youβ¦now I AM HUNGRY!!
BTW, did you make all these from scratch or from pre-mix??!! -
From scratch.

buds:
Always thought your girls' school is near home....6am is really a torture!!

gd morning. -
Nebbermind:
Yup. That's why I don't expect and will understand if they are too tired out to do a bit more work with me, especially if/should they have a pile of homework to finish in the afternoons (or sometimes up till late evenings)! In fact, most days I try to get them to take power naps. Everyone can function a lil better after a quickie. Especially me. :please: By that, I meant... quick recharge. :imanangel:

PS. The school distance is not near as in just across the road near... and far doesn't mean them having to take more than an hour's journey there... If taking public transport, about 3-4 bus stops after they walk along the pavement (about a row of 6-7 blocks of flats long) to reach the bus stop. Plus pit with the throng of people trying to get to work, school or/and market on time. So, if they sleep early, they can wake up fresh and early as well. They catch up on reading when they arrive in school like within 10mins or do some light revision before their other friends come in to chit chat or play a bit.
This was the only school that offered us two spaces when we shifted here.
And gahmen wants us to procreate some more? :skeptical: But schools no enough. Most schools had waitlist of like over 200 applicants including FTs' kids. I was given slight priority with this school because I was gonna pop any moment then with my chubs, and still had no school to sign my girls up for. -

huh? Read and re-read and somehow dunno what you mean. Think my brain kinda fuzzy today. Got only 3+ hours of sleep cos DD came over at about 4am saying she had a nightmare. Thereafter I could not really get back to sleep.

Buds,
How many hours of sleep do you have every night?
You need the rest babe. -
I can only have intermittent sleep until the boys are weaned off the boobies. But I don't mind. I can live on little sleep and function ok so far. I have been insomniac since school days. I don't really like to drink coffee because it'll keep me awake for god knows how long more. :faint:
Catch up again later! I'm off to catch late lunch and a movie with my boys. Ta ta! :imanisland: -

what I meant was that has the thought cross your mind that what you interpreted from the story book might not be the same interpretations as ur kids?
like the paragraph u read liao is like nothing much to you but might make ur kids think of other things?
unless if u ever had an inkling that some parts is not really clear, u will skip the book? -
