    Is English or Mandarin more important?

      I think both are equally important. You can’t say one is more important than the other, especially with China’s rising economic importance. In fact since more people know english, knowing chinese may be even more advantageous given how few foreigners speak chinese

          Both are equally important, especially now globalization is the thing. In fact, if my kids are able to cope with English and Chinese, I would want them to take up another popular language.
