But I know someone got 4 A and the score is 240... anyway, thanks for all your explanation.

It really depends on the quality of the A - one student may have 4 As which are around 75-80, while another may have 4 As which are around 85-90.

Yes, it really depends on the quality of A and A*. My nephew who has A* for maths and As for the rest has a T score of 254, while a friemd's child who is having A* for MT and As for the rest has T score of 250.

But for 3A & 1A*, take the minimum 75 and 91, 0.75*(3*75+1*91) = 237, the mimimum T score would be 237, and if the 3A are slightly higher than 75, the T score should be more than 237, right?

Applying the 0.75 factor won't give a good estimation of t-score because the t-score is computed based on standard deviation and mean.

Like some other posters mentioned, the quality of the grade is very important.
Even 3A* and 1A can still fall short of top 10% of cohort.

            Hi all,

Thank you so much for the sharing, I got one more question, my son’s score is 235 plus 2 for merit in higher MT, total 237, Chung Cheng(main) is 237 and Maris Stella is 232, I am living in AMK, which school shall I put in front?
Chung Cheng has a super nice camp and good environment but a bit far, Maris Stella is also a quite good school and closer to home, except a bit smaller. I take MRT circle line to get in these two schools.
Can someone help to analyse and make decision? Many thanks.

Multiplier is around 0.7 to 0.75, so total add up 4 subjects 333-357
