        Star,

Occasionally, I help get helpers fr Mynmar & mobilize fr direct. This girl going to a frd’s place, but will come over to shadow my helper. Tho I don’t always hv available girls fr my Mynmar frd & most are girls who hv no experience working in SG. They’re usually only suitable for h’holds where there is someone to guide & supervise. I’m doing this just to help not as a bz. Lol.

Yes, I wld adv set house rules on her arrival. I adopted one fr Tamarind when she posted it years ago. I’m not sure if I can resurrect it as i hvnt used one for s’time. Do the usual check on any expensive or unusual items fr her belongings & make a note, giving instructions on when she can use her hp & if she buys any expensive items to inform you for record purposes. Many years ago, I found a bag of jewelry in my new Indo helper‘s belonging the nite she arrives. Alarm started ringing in my head. Within 3 mths, her ex-eyer rang to say she stole cash fr her husband & altho police can’t find any large amt of cash, I escorted her str to airport after her interrogation & tld her never to come back as police watching her. Guess u cld conclude how the jewelry came abt. Every off-day she’ll come back with large bags & new shoes etc claiming her cousin/sister gave her as presents. Anyway, i gave up on Pino & I do helpers, tho i still hope to meet good ones if ever I need one again. Just staying away fr getting fr Indo for now.

Btw, do consider getting her an MRT card if she has to travel for yr dad’s medical appointments.

yes...have to let her know house rules.
priority is your father and safety.

I had never given helpers any access to housekeys, except for my latest helper. Guess I assess based on character or how daring I perceive them to possibly be. Bad me!

But that’s just me being KSi. With elderly, I don’t think you hv a choice esp when the helper needs to bring yr dad for exercises and go for medical appointments, provided yr dad is still very independent & when he goes out, he holds the keys without issues.

my mum has decided not to get a replacement. she employed one because the part time comes and goes off after 5 hours. getting her to come twice a week is costly. after the horrible experience with the maid and thinking of the training, she decided not to have another one. on top of the stress, she would have to pay another amount close to $400.

                    Star,
I’m mobilizing & helping to train a new girl next week too. I’ll get following :-

                    1. Mattress
                    2. Pillow
                    3. Blanket
                    4. Toothbrush
                    5. Toothpaste
                    6. Shampoo
                    7. Bath soap
                    8. Towel
                    9. Drinking cup
                    10. A pair of firm shoe (best is normal rubber shoe that is resistant to slippery floor)
                    11. Alarm clock
Additional to above, I also get her separate crockery, cutlery and 2 sets of T-shirts and knee length pants as working clothes.

actually mum is getting tired of doing the chores and washing up after cooking.
but the Myanmar maid gave so many problems. mum uses the spin mop. the maid was so rough with the spinning. then she also had no patience turning on the fire on the stove, almost spoiling the knob.
the biggest problem is refusal to return the mobile phone after usage.

Hi parents out there, we are looking for FDW, and shortlisted 2 companies (EELIT and RAYMOND MAIDS), would like to ask if anyone have any experience with them and any feedbacks of their services and the employee so far. We are also unsure should we get ex-SG or totally new DW? Any advice?

Anyway, we are looking for Myanmar FDW that primarily focus on household chores, cooking and child minding of 2 years old kid.

Greatly appreciate any help provided. Thanks!
