Please see my review at page 138 of this same thread:
Any reason as to why ACJS getting more popular? I've always heard that ACSP is the better primary of the both. Further, the vicinity of ACSP is more densely populated with condos vs ACJS's area. Besides, anecdotally quite a number of my friends are also biased towards ACSP..

Do u mind sharing with us why your friends are biased towards ACSP? I’m also curious. -

Hi! Can Zac’s Mum or someone in the know pls share the similar stat for ACSJ for 2C this year? How many were within 1km for how many seats?cutefarts\" post_id=\"1928211\" time=\"1565616531\" user_id=\"180503:
I believe this year’s registration had 46 vacancies in 2B. And 65 people applied. Of these, 47 were <1km. The rest >1km wasted their chance because they were not qualified to join the balloting.Hi all, apologies if I am asking a silly question. I've got a son and am looking at my options. If I stay within 1km of ACSJ and am also a member of the methodist church. What are my odds in securing my kid in the school?
So balloting was conducted for <1km folks and 1 child got balloted out. Dunno if the parents tried again in phase 2C.
Thanks in advance! -

ACSP 40 applicants vs 27 seats
Thank you! Gosh... all within 1km? We have a lot of neighbours with sons...
Btw, is it a coincidence that both 2B and 2C had 46 seats for ACSJ? Or is that by design? I understand MOE reserves 20 seats for each phase, but what happens to the excess from previous phases? Are they also evenly split between these 2 phases (looks to be the case, else there would be only 20 seats for 2C)? -

However, if the total # excess seats are an odd number instead of an even number, then 2B gets one more seat than 2C. Those are the MOE rules for every school.
And yes, there are plenty of boys in the Newton/Novena area. Going forward, it will be the norm to expect balloting for <1km for both ACS. As long as you prepare your heart & backup plan it’s fine. -

Hi,
I’m new to the whole registration process, I’m a old boy of ACSP and have joined the ACS OBA.
How does one qualify for Phase 2A(1) and 2A(2)?
Thanks. -

Show the letter from alumni and you will qualify for ACSP 2A1. Old boy with no alumni will qualify for 2A2

Hi all, I stay <1km and planning register under phase 2(B) for ACS primary.
Assuming 2(B) goes to the ballot and my son is unsuccessful, will we be able to register him again under phase 2
for ACS primary?
Thanks in advance! -
