They still count but lower weightage.

The published stats are usually in the form of the four core subjects, not in UAS. But your overall UAS still counts, especially for the more competitive courses.

Those 4 subjects account for 70 of 90 points (or 77.8%). Hence, they are an important determinant.

GP / PW account for the balance. Even if you score C for both, you will still score 15/20 points - hardly a knock out blow for most courses, other than the most competitive ones.

GP, Project Work and 4th Content Subject counts for the same weightage, i.e. 10 points each, in the UAS computation.

The other three content subjects count for 20 points each.

The XXX/X are as what their titles say, Indicative (not absolute) Grade Profiles - gives you a guide on the cut-off grades.

thks for the info too , i vaguely remember the points.

                1) Is it correct : Uni entry is generally based on 3H2 & 2H1 ( 1contrasting subject + 1 GP or project work ? )

                2) any idea abt H3 subject pts?

                edit to add qn:
the extra project work , chinese , 4th H2 - for what purpose, can't add points on top of Combi of (3H2+2H1) ?

actually Sec2 subject combi selection is quite impt - as it leads to A level eligible subjects combi and into uni pts entry

I think total UAS is 3H2 plus 3H1, that is how the max is 90.
                  So PW is not extra.

GP, Project Work and 4th Content Subject are of equal weightage, i.e. 10 points each.

The other three Content Subject makes up 20 points each.
                    Maximum points is thus, 90.

                      MerlionG, thks - i think so too - add to 90 for combi = 3H2 + 3H1

                      next qn :
                      3H1 - 1 contrasting H1 subject + 1 GP + 1 Pw

i think GP is compulsory to pass for general uni admission , unless special conditions

So if a A level kid get v good results in Chinese , can chinese subject replace Pw or contrasting subject for Uni pts calculation?

if chinese can't be use - hmm... why need to take chinese in A level :scratchhead:

Cannot replace but can be included, just google.
The 3H1 should be content subject, PW, GP. (Discussion not about KI, that one separate discussion).

CL need to take to fulfil Singapore’s bilingual policy, I think.
