my ideal one would be a 4rm flat…1 study/guest + 1 for dds, we need 2 toilets even if 2 person staying haha… I m searching more for peace and happiness… lesser in material is alright…back to my dream when I was young…I been aiming to become an old woman with a smiling face.

My husband and I also prefer 2 toilets, and so we thought we shouldn't consider 3-room flats. But quite a few of the young couples in my church have bought resale 3-room flats, and in visiting them, we've discovered that some models of 3-room flats actually have 2 toilets. And just last week, we visited one where, even though they originally only had 1 toilet and 1 bathroom (without toilet), they installed an extra toilet in the bathroom (fairly ok space-wise), and an extra shower in the toilet (cramped, but workable). And the renovations that these young people do is very smart in that they can make the small spaces look good and not too cramped.

now I recall, I think those very old upgraded 3 rm flats, some upgrading will be add on of toilet think..

You two too prefer 2 toilets 😄 now whenever we need to share 1 toilet, will feel quite uncomfortable coz worry there maybe someone waiting to use etc..

Recalling this story (basically if one can figure out the below 'logic' earlier in life, then one would not put himself/herself under 'over pursuit'. I am trying to get my children to realise this as early in their life as possible.):
What’s the moral of the story? I see more than one interpretation. One interpretation - it’s pointless to work hard and scrimp if the end-goal is a simple way of living, so don’t bother to work hard and just enjoy and fritter time away. Which interpretation do you prefer?

I wonder what’s over-pursuit? Is buying anything more than a 4 room flat “over pursuit” ?

those 3 rm flat with one toilet must v very old ones, near 40 yrs - too old to buy la. My mil 3rm has 2 toilet n a extra room at the end of kitchen but she is not staying in 3 rm flat , she upgraded to 2 brm condo le…hahaha her “hardship pay off “ . Actually she would not move but due to a new bad neighbour ,life is so unpredictable, my mil thinks she will all along p away in her cozy 3 rm but things change over night. It will be a nice “ ending” for her too with conducive environment, mall, transport, supermart all within walking distance . Tats her retirement, doing things she like- 4D, cook for family , go market , nag around

😂 Wa, shiok, enjoy life liao.

Actually that’s the sad truth of life. DH grew up in a 3room flat, he said upstairs, downstairs, even his next door neighbors committed suicide by jumping off from the block. It’s not that he can’t stay back in a 3rm flat, but he asked who really want to if given a choice.

Currently MIL stays with us. If I ask her to go back to live in the 3rm flat, she gets to enjoy the FOC flat by herself, think she will ah bish my face!
