Guess with the MRT its also more convenient to travel to Bishan.. Just hope not to have breakdowns..
1) MRT - fast, require one change at Serangoon MRT but occasionally breakdown; or
2) Bus 50 - rarely breakdown but travel at a leisurely pace
but dont need to walk n change train

Bus 50 is probably not the best choice if you are starting from SK Interchange. However, if you are starting your journey from the neighborhood of Fernvale, it’s probably a reasonable option. That said, bus 50 only brings you to Bishan Road, still need to walk to CHS or take a feeder bus if you want to stop at the door step.

Actually the best is MRT and then bus. Cos if he takes the bus all the way, he will not be with his friends…if he takes the bus (many bus options) to Bishan, he will be taking with many friends, and it will be more fun.

Yes.. will leave it up to him to decide... hands off when they go to secondary school. Time for him to grow up!!!

Yah, the best is still MRT and then 410W (or 54 / 52) from Bishan MRT, especially coming from Rivervale.

Across the road, there’s 13, 88 which passes through, as well as 52, 54 (coming from the interchange) that I’ve mentioned previously.

I just don’t find any of these options (crossing the overhead bridge, waiting for the bus) faster than waiting for 410W
