i am 1-2km from Ai Tong and >2km from pcps. It sort of also depends if the sch announces the breakdown right? Cos otherwise, even though say ATS is only oversubscribed by 1 this year at phase 2b, it’s also difficult to ascertain whether I even stand a balloting chance at 1-2km. Same for pcps which is even worse considering I’m >2km away.
      ...
Just to add on for this year’s Phase 2B:
Ai Tong School-Balloting will be conducted for Singapore Citizen children residing outside 2km of the school.
Catholic High School (Primary Section)-Balloting will be conducted for Singapore Citizen children residing within 1km of the school.

Don’t be too quick to decide and shut down all options.

Thanks very much for your input! After pondering abt it for one night I think that’s prob what I’m going to do as well. It will be most helpful if the schools do a breakdown that’s displayed so that there’s really a bit more informed decision. I don’t feel so hopeful abt next year considering it’s the horse year.

Having said that, anybody actually knows the actual number that are within 1km for cat high this year?

I am thinking to enroll my son to CHS as my husband is an old boy.

Is there any Chinese related classes or activities in school outside the Chinese class?

            Hi

I have read some posts and realise some parents stay in woodlands. My boy is going to CHS next year and i wish to explore private tpt arrangement. Is there any parents in woodlands, and will like to consider joining the arrangement? If so, pls pm me.
            thanks.

                Hihi,

Wonder if anyone here could help me with the following qns.

I’m considering on transferring my son to CHS so would like to know more on the following:

                1) Are the pupils streamed at the end of P2 n P4? If so, are they streamed by subjects?

                2) If my son comes in at P4, will he get to choose his CCA?

                3) Any after school programmes for P4s such as Math Olympiad?

                4) For pupils who have made it to GEP round 2 but are not selected for GEP programme, does the school have any special programme for them?

Would greatly appreciate if anyone could help.

                Thanks in advance!

                  Hi,

Anyone here has successfully transferred your DS from P3 to P4 in CHS?

May I know how long they will take to process your application and inform you if it is successful or not?

Need to be excellent in CCA & academics to stand a chance?

I I don’t think there’s a definite answer since it’s case by case. The time take / success rate is dependent on the availability of places. It’s probably fair to say, chances are not high.

My son has just been offered a place in P4 next year.

Any parents here can share with me on P4 curriculum?

Are there many after school programmes other than CCA?

Any parent here has the same experience as me transferring your child from a co ed school to CHS?

Rather worried about him adjusting to an all boys’ school.

Would greatly appreciate if any parent can share your experience here or share more about p4 curriculum with me.

                      Thanks!
