If letter says eligible for ESIS and you are applying to an independent secondary school, then confirm get.

If the letter states eligibility for ESIS, ie meet the cut off of 261, does it means that you definitely get it or still depends on the secondary school tscore ranking?

Thanks zac_mum and floppy for your clarification.
Assuming Child A can’t get into any of his first 3 choice, he will be considered BEFORE Child B for School ABC.santorini\" post_id=\"1947609\" time=\"1574331821\" user_id=\"12287:
Sorry to be posting a stupid question. I am confused about how S1 Posting works.
Assuming Child A puts School ABC as 4th choice.
Child B puts School ABC as 1st choice.
Child A TSCORE is higher than Child B.
Will Child A be allocated a vacancy in school ABC first or child B?
Thanks
Higher scorer will always get to pick first. -

Hi Nethan,
Hope you are not feeling too down.
It really doesn’t matter, its a reset button in sec 1. Enjoy the time!
Your family loves you just as much ! -
Did a lot of ppl get 250 and above in ur school? In my school there’s 27… is that considered a lot or no?

where can I find if dd is eligible to get the points for higher Chinese? Not able to find from the result letter. Thanks.[/quote]Is stated in the eligibility letter, S1 Posting letter.
And check the eligibility letter if you actually do get the 3 points. In theory, a person can get a distinction in higher chinese but do not get the +3 if his t score is not within a certain percentage of the cohort.MerlionInGermany\" post_id=\"1947561\" time=\"1574321561\" user_id=\"2964:

Gets more complicated when it comes to affiliation.. what if affiliated student just meet cop puts 1st choice, and non affiliated student also just meet cop puts 2nd, who will get the slot? Affiliated cop is always lower than non affiliated but both fighting for the last slotsantorini\" post_id=\"1947609\" time=\"1574331821\" user_id=\"12287:Merit before choice order.
So the higher scorer will get in first, regardless of his/her choice order. -

Affiliated cop is always lower than non affiliated but both fighting for the last slotI think, this will never happen, because the affiliated students get in first, up to 80% of the total sec 1 cohort. Then the leftover 20% is allocated to non affiliated students. If affiliation students fill 65%, then the 35% will be allocated to non affiliated students. It is done serially, not in parallel. I think.
