Regarding House T, you can wear it on Wednesdays instead of uniform? Thanks.

For those that wish to wear on Weds : House-T (in place of school white shirt) + school white shorts / pants

      :thankyou:

After knowing which houses your kids are in next year, remind them to buy the Yr1-4 house t-shirt, not the jc house t-shirt. My boy and his classmate, both sotong went to get the jc house t-shirt. They were so happy at the nice design, then along the way back to class, a peer leader saw them and told them they got the wrong one 😆. Then they ran back to bookshop to change 😆

              Hi,
Can I check what's the difference between hci and ri
Both are excellent schools, with different strengths and culture. But I don’t think it is very appropriate to have a discussion here to compare the schools.

You may like to refer to this thread “RI or HCI”:

If a level student takes KI as contrasting sub, is it possible to take triple science?

Triple Science is allowed, only up to Year (3 and 4) IP or O-level, at the very most (maximum)

Once reach A level in Year (5 & 6), in All Junior Colleges, not just RI only, only Double Science is allowed, no more Triple Science allowed, regardless of what contrasting subject chosen.
                  So, either take

H2 (Physics + Chemistry) double Science, or

H2 (Biology + Chemistry) double Science, if u are in A-level Science stream, taking H2 CMXY, where

                  C : Chemistry (compulsory)
                  M : Maths

X : either Physics or Biology, not sure if F Maths is also allowed

                  Y : the contrasting subject

Hi! Can anyone please explain what would be the contrasting subjects for someone who takes Math + Chem + Physics?

Is Economics considered one of them? GP? Music? Art?

As far as I am aware, following are the possible contrasting subjects to consider for a PCM combi:

                    History
                    Geography
                    English Literature
                    Economics
                    Art / Music
                    English Lang & Linguistics (ELL)
Chinese / Malay / Tamil Lang & Literature
                    Japanese / German / French / Spanish

*Knowledge & Inquiry (as a contrasting subject in place of GP)

Can seek the advice of parents of senior boys if there’s a need to keep the Y1 and Y2 books? Can we recycle them or donate them away? Not sure if they still need the books and notes for upper Sec? Thanks!
If any parent has Year 1 books or notes to give away, please do let me know. Will gladly offload them from you (fyi-my son will be doing Malay).
                      :thankyou:

                        Ran1977,

Our boys might be classmates! Did your boy DSAed into RI? If I'm not mistaken, you asked about conversion of a WL.
I read here that the boys are discouraged to give away their notes due to proprietary reason. My boy's cousin also refuse. LOL. Also lots of the books are optional.
