I'm not sure why St Margs pri girls dont want to choose their sec if they can go to better schools.
May I ask why the St Margs pri girls do not want to choose there? Pls PM me if it's not appropriate to share here. I thought their COP is decent and has many years of history.
Regarding SMSS COP, you have to take into account that they have affiliated students, hence accounting for a \"inflated\" COP.
There are many schools with years of history ....
Anyway, you should choose a school you are comfortable with.
Another strength about Crescent which I haven't seen mentioned here is their extensive use of the slate. They have the full suite of the Adobe software installed in their slate. Besides being well versed in Microsoft software like Word, PPT, which most students do anyway, they are also adept at Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. These are very useful software.
Several years ago, it cost a bomb to buy the entire Adobe suite. Now with Adobe Cloud, i'm not even sure how to buy the Adobe software anymore. I've been happily using my Adobe CS6 for many years. And I'm surprised my girl's Adobe skills matching with mine. -

Agree.
If academic result is your concern, there really is no contest between CGS and SMSS.mercy\" post_id=\"1949120\" time=\"1574666166\" user_id=\"8070:
I’m deciding between st Margaret and Crescent. I read a lot of good reports about Crescent. However, after visiting the schools, I’m very impressed by the environment in st Margaret. I’m struggling because I’m worry whether st Margaret is academically driven, and whose >24x students will be driven to do well.

HMT is offered to all who are eligible to take HMT. Not sure what is defined as well supported. But there are intensive HMT lessons on weeks leading to the O level papers.
Hi, have 2 quick questions here. My girl scored 252 +3. She wants to continue HMT at cgs.
Anyone knows if the HMT olevel programme is well supported by school?
What is the mean score of students in cgs?
Thanks
Intensive HMT lessons is not a given in all schools. I was surprised (or rather appalled) one of my DC, fr a top school, had a mere 2-3 days (1-2 hours only) intensive lessons before the O level papers. I think the sch expected the students to have chinese tuition. -
Hi hi,
I need to understand and have more insight abt CGS by today to decide on my choices. Is there anyone free here to entertain me??? Is there anyone I can PM? -
Just ask your questions here for everyone to benefit, and parents will be able to reply.

ok can. How many HCL classes are there in CGS? If a child goes in without HCL, will she be able to take HCL subsequently and what are the criteria?

How has CGS been performing for o levels over the last few years, like maybe last 3 to 5 years? Comparing with schools like MGS, SCGS os SAP like NHS. how do they compare? (if anyone has any insight at all, since now results are a shhhh shhhh affair and cannot be made publicly?)

What is the school culture in CGS? stressful? pressure cooker? Are the teachers supportive and helpful?

Look at regsmum post on who goes where. Shouldn’t that be a rough guide as to their performance? Most students are doing well, as you would expect from one of the better schools.
