There are 31 students 250 and above
For ALPS: % got into Sec school 99.5%
Express 72.3%, normal 17%, normal tech 10.2%
>250, about 20-30 students I think. Too nervous to keep counting then.
-

About 15%. Not bad, above the average.

What is the national average for 250 and above?
250 represents the top 10% (+ -) of the cohort. Therefore, ALPS has slightly more than it’s share of the top 10 percenter.

Wow! I didn’t realise that there are so many 250 and above. The school Mgt must be so happy as this is the first batch.

My daughter was just offered a slot (P3) at Alexandra. She has never attended school in SG as we relocated here (wife is SG citizen) back in mid September. How is the first week of school like? Is there typically an orientation? Uniforms, books, etc? I’m going to register her this week and hopefully get more information but would love any insights from current parents. Thanks!

@Astoria2SG, on the first day, the kid will be expected to bring a story book, pencil case and colour pencils. For the first three days, it is normally very relax, without much homework. Mainly for the kids to get to know their Teachers better. Think P3 is a good time to join, as the classmates should be new. The classmates are the same in P1/2, in P3, they are regrouped into a new class. You should get the books before school starts and uniforms can be purchased from Bibi and baba at Henderson road.

Good score for the Pioneer batch! Did they announce the TOP scorers?

@wannabe relax mom, thanks for the response. We went on holiday in December. Daughter is doing very well and adapting quite nicely so far. She has two very caring buddies and a great form teacher.
