Unless have been specifically informed, unlikely that there will be a specific water-based activity during Orientation Camp.

If I recall, there were no specific water-based activity previously. However, shoes did get wet during outdoor activities when there was wet weather.

General advice for outdoor activities (including camps) would be comfortable shoes, but be prepared for them to get wet (and dirty!). Some do keep aside older pairs of shoes (and socks!) specifically for outdoor activities, including water-based activities (eg. kayaking @ OBS in Yr 3) and use them instead of getting water shoes.

According to some of the parents here, not all the textbooks will be used in class, so we don't plan to get everything on the book list (which will only be available on reporting day). If you pre-order the books now, you HAVE to buy the full set, cannot pick and choose.
