Hi, I've seen somewhere that there's scholarship for msp . Can I check if this is true for ri?

The RSP scholarship is offered at RI for those who take up Malay Special Program (MSP) as a 3rd language. https://beta.moe.gov.sg/fees-assistance-awards-scholarships/awards-scholarships/programme-scholarships/

The school will inform on the application process at the appropriate time.

Thank you. Which means we will only know when school starts?

In case you didn't manage to get hold of the booklist in advance, what we did was I take a photo of the book covers (actually optional) and copy down the ISBN to check when we went to school bookshop to buy.

ISBN stands for International Standard Book Number and it is a unique identifying number for a book. It refers to a specific edition. ... If a book is reprinted by its same publisher without any changes or revisions, it will keep the same ISBN. Here's an example of an ISBN above and below a bar code on the back of a book.

                  Hihi

I am made to understand that the Booklist will be given tomorrow. But what I understand that many of the books (eg textbooks) listed in the booklist are not even touched by the teachers who prefer to use their own notes. So my question is:
                  1) Will the Principal in his speech tomorrow tell us what to buy and what not to?
                  2) Or if not - how do we know as we only intend to buy those books essentially needed?
                  Thanks

The books are for reference, even not used in class, the students can read at home.
If you read this forum, you will know that mother tongue and literature books are used in class.

To the new RI Y1 parents next year, welcome aboard. However busy your work is, don’t miss the JRIC - personally it’s one of the defining moments of my boy’s educational journey. The Y1/Y3 boys did the United Cheer with so much gusto and pride (in a good way, of course).

For those of us who have a niggling doubt whether the school suits our boys, my advice is just stay calm and allow our boys time to feel the school’s culture for themselves. Mine (who has been using his friends’ notes to prepare for exams for the last 2 years) finds the environment collaborative and enjoys his time there.
