Not all sec 1s. Based on application and then selection.
Thanks for the info.
That would mean that it is likely for all sec 1s to attend overseas immersion in June holiday? Noted on this. -
Wa, sec 1 already got overseas immersion trip. My son’s school only from sec 3 (also based on application n selection)

It is an overseas immersion for sec 1 and sec 2. So if you didnt get selected in sec 1, you can try again in sec 2. It is actually an overseas exchange, so the students from the school overseas will come over for lessons during the year.

Hi may i find out if any of u with o level girls ever felt ostracize in the school? Especially those not from st nic pri?
-
good question, i will like to know too.
if anyone can also answer, why would you choose o level in st nicks (cop 253) when you can qualify for scgs ip (cop 252)?
bearing in mind if the child wants to transfer to st nicks ip in sec 3(from o levels) -

I can’t answer the first question as I don’t have first-hand knowledge.

But I can guess the following reasons for some people choosing SNGS OP over SCGS IP:
- prefer SAP school
- prefer religious emphasis
- live nearer to AMK
- don’t like sleeveless uniform
- don’t like Eunoia JC. Prefer to take O levels and keep JC options open. -

Perhaps fees is most important factor. SCGS' OP - you have to pay independent school fees and at the 252-254 range, one doesn't qualify for ESIS.laokong\" post_id=\"1956712\" time=\"1577925446\" user_id=\"57696:I can’t answer the first question as I don’t have first-hand knowledge.

School fees exp and dont like EJC are probably the main reasons.

With very good O result coming from St Nicks , have more options and can choose better JCs. -
Also, some of them are from other CHIJ and their dream school is IJ St Nicks. I know people from OLN, TP, and OLGC from tuition class, when I asked them which school they want to go to, they said St Nicks. And St Nicks is also popular with PLMGS students and the students from Marymount Convent. If you ask those who ask those are already in the school, you will find many of them put SN as first 2 choices. Some of them may have seniors who went on to SN and when they went back to pri sch, the juniors would ask them for feedback on sec sch life etc.
It is just personal preference, which cannot be measured and quantified. And it is very impt to find a school you like to go to.
