I agree....some schools have the MTP session this week, but we don't :? So we don't get to speak with the teachers about the progress till term 3
I wish RMPS would be like that. Maybe, the school is expecting us to take initiative to approach the teachers and talk to them more. All of us are so busy...by hvg a PTM, we will all be 'forced' to find time to meet with teachers to talk.

Actually, personally, I prefer more quantitative feedback about my sonโs performance, rather than what is written. However, I can understand why the school has done it the way it is. It is too premature to group the pupils based on the unit reviews. Some may do well on certain topics but weak on others. Through these unit reviews, we, as parents, will know which areas our children at weak at, and work on these areas.
Actually, if you have any question on your childโs performance, you should just write to the teacher, rather than wait for the PTM. We just had the PTM in March, and hence, it is understandable why the school doesnโt hold any PTM until September. The purpose for holding in March (I think) is to update parents how well adapted the children are to the primary school lives.
I think it is a good idea to hold the PTM in September because by then we will be able to know the areas our children are weak in, and we know which areas we should brush them up on in preparation for the final year exam. If anyone is anxious to know this now, I am sure the form teachers will be let you know if you ask them. In short, just write to the teachers. -

I know of some parents who don't even bother to attend the PTM. -
Usually have to take time off from work just to attend the โPTMโ. Guess it is always better to have constant communication with the teacher. By the way should we email the teacher based on their listed email by MOE or the lead portal email?

I usually write to my son's form teacher via the e-mail address found in the website. -

No problem! Actually, I think it also depends on our children's luck which teachers have been assigned to them.
So far, my son's teachers have been very responsive. Maybe my son is lucky that he has these teachers. -
Hi All,
Anyone of you have problems getting into lead.com? I think the servers couldn't take the load and it was down this morning. So unrealiable
When i manage to get in this afternoon, there are so many worksheets. Are we suppose to complete all? -
Yes this morning encounter many problems where the lead portal can't tahan around the entire school login.
Answers had been input when refresh seem not being capture. From my DS had said, the assignments must be completed by 2359hr on 26 May 10.

Just my 2 cents worth:
For me, I prefer to meet in person than to email. 1st, the teacher may not respond as quickly as possible. 2nd, thru' email, the words that the teachers used are usually very careful/ polite and you'll not get the 'actual' feedback you expect from them. Just like the business email that we use in office, we're careful with what we write as we don't want to find out later that the emails are being forwarded/ broadcast. If you know what i mean...
Exactly, the one in March is to update how well the child adapts to P1 life, not so much on work performance wise. So isn't one in June is essential ?

Furthermore, if they are covering all chapters way back from 1st page then this will be really challenging
If anyone is anxious to know this now, I am sure the form teachers will be let you know if you ask them.
ya, need to fix a appointment, but guess may be too late now...
