Hi Guys...just sharing with you guys about a full time maid that i hired who is my worst maid ever...she is highly likely looking to return back to Singapore soon so would like to share it here so that no other employer is 'unlucky ' enough to employ her.

      Name: Kap Tluangi ( Myanmmar)

      WP No: 0 93760115

Sent her back today and she was shouting and demanding why we didnt tell her earlier and demanded to be bought a luggage ...best is when packing her stuff it exceeded check in baggage limits by 10 kg...( about 30 over kg worth of clothes and stuff)- she even suggested to place her belongings at my security guard post so that her friends can pick it up- how bold and 'creative' right...( even storage facilities also have a fee lah...wah lau).

During her 9 month employment....her main tasks is to clean the house and preparing breakfast and dinners ...for a small family of 3- hubby , me and boy who goes to full day child care). Yet during her employment she

-Always always cannot get up on time....1 week she will oversleep at least 3-4 times...meaning either me or my hubby have to wake her up making us so tired....as we go to sleep later than her ( Her bedtime is usually 830-9pm as we take over our son and put him to sleep every night)...morning on wkdays she needs to get up at 6am to help us prep as my hubs needs to leave with my boy for childcare by 7am...in order to reach work on time...so because of her tardiness they are either often late for sch/ work or i need to be so stressed out and wake up subconsciously by 6am to check that she's up...:(

She also has a very non teachable attitude and is very defensive whenever you correct her mistakes....she will argue and argue back whatever point you raise...An example...when you tell her that you've trained her to dry the front load washer and not overload the washing machine to prevent moisture/ it from spoiling etc...she will reply : Oh is it? Or when she serves you burnt food....you ask her why it's burnt she replies oh the video you showed me says 1 hr ( but i told her to tweak the timing as the size of the potato is different - she doesn't watch food as well when she cooks leading the food to be overcooked or water to boil over )- Her bio data rates her cooking as 5/5 ya hahahaha....big joke ya

Is a huge busybody....loves to interupt whenever hubs and I are talking and inserts her opinions in whenever it's not sought for....like when we buy clothes for my boy she'll go eeewl that's so ugly etc....basically no respect...

Lastly, due to her inability to get up in the mornings we imposed a time limit to her handphone hours ( so at night from 9-1030pm-Disclaimer: I hope people don't judge....as people from Home or whatever organisations might say its so inhumane etc to keep someone's phone)...blah blah BUT in any case whilst packing today i found out that she has a 2nd secret phone which is probably why she always oversleeps as she's always using her hp late into the night....and also explains y she's always taking so long in the toilet as well....( when i asked her today she again had another explanation : that she was helping her 'friend keep the phone')...

Another thing i also found out today was that she throws her undergarment - panties and bra together with my son's laundry- when she came i provided her with a scrub and pail and told her explicitly not to wash her undergarments in the washing machine ( we allow her to wash the rest of her clothes in the washing machine)- even I handwash my own undergarments....ARGH im feeling so disgusted i feel like getting a new washing machine 😞

So yup writing this post to warn potential future employers as she is looking to return to work here ( she has a wide network of friends here )..She's an ex SG mynammar maid so her spoken English is pretty good for Myanmmar so she might kind of easily do well in 'interviews' with potential employers...( thats one of the reasons i took her too since it was diff finding myanmmar helpers with gd English - as Im a FTWM and don't have time to train a fresh one)
Omg, did u gave her WiFi password?
      Ur hse gt cctv?
Y u allow her to wash her clothes in the washing machine? Shouldn't maid hand wash their clothes separately?

Sorry but I'm a FTWM as well. Trying to find how others managed their maid.

After reading, I simply cant understand the mentality of some FDWs.

Some new helpers very vigilant & eager to learn & make sure they thrive. After they get new eyers, they let themselves relax, thinking their little experience will be passport to everything & becomes arrogant, cocky & they forget eyers hv to be respected. Little do they realize not respecting eyers is equivalent to not respecting themselves.

I nvr allow helpers to show disrespect even for once! I’ll ask them if they know who pays their salary, why eyers pay them, so best they do as eyers expect. Put all expectations upfront & if not complied with consequences results.

I’ll nvr keep helpers who try to outsmart eyers, lie or give attitude. One can be trained if lack the skill but one cannot train anyone with attitude problems. I’ll send them str back w/o announcements & keep repeating “pack now”. Hv 2 persons to handle the repatriation & always get the man of the household to give the instructions to “pack now, you go back home”. Any talking can be done at the airport AFTER check-in luggage. I’ll say whatever if still worthwhile when the FDW is still receptive, owise I don’t bother much & ensure she passes the immigration.

For mine, the helper is living with my dad and a tenant. So there is no ‘govt’. As long as my dad is safe, meals taken care of, I close one eye. I don’t pay for her hp usage and she has no access to home wifi. She knows there is cctv at home.

Great wisdom. Good start to handling new maids - no WiFi nor pay for her hp usage. CCTV is a good idea with very young kids & elderly in care of helper during daytime.

              Totally.
My mil maid is constantly glued to her hp, doesn't do her job well. No say no do, even say also anyhow do. All because of unlimited free WiFi, but e prob is once given its hard to take back. My mil worried maid might take revenge, so she rather accept a dirty hse than a vengeance maid. Lol. Such a joke. I've seen the maid chilling at the backyard chilling with her hp so many times. Everytime I check her watsapp last seen timing, it's always within the past 15 mins.

What is this world becoming? That employers become slaves of some helpers?

Having said that, there are really responsible and good helpers

Nt to mention they are picky with food.

My maid told me she do not like the following food : non fried banana, bean sprout, ntuc brand instant noodle, kaya, pineapple, tomato. She luv indomie, hotdog, coke. - _-‘’

My mil maid gave me a dirty look when I offered her my indocafe coffee, outright told me ‘this I no like’.

I’ll tell her “I know luv but “I can’t give u Indomie or any instant noodles coz MOM don’t allow” & show her the MOM guidelines.

“You want hotdog or coke, but for yourself” I only give 3 squares meals with rice, veg & s’times chicken or fish depends on what I eat”

Oh come on, in Indonesia, don’t think their diet is hotdog or coke everyday! Tell her some hotdog hv babi. Indonesians mostly depend on rice as staple & maybe some chilli, some deep fried fish or chicken. Where for hotdog? Be firm with her to eat what your family eats except those she’s not able bcoz of religious belief. That we’ve to respect.

i have a google wifi mesh system so i limit her 'wifi' usage only from 830-1030pm ...and yes my home has CCTV but it's impossible to cover all the rooms ( her room and our master bed room / toilets etc i cant have cctv...) so she will usually go into those rooms to 'hide' loh....and cctv has blind spots so cant really always spot them also....
Yah that is my fault....i shouldn't have allowed her to use the washing machine to wash her clothes....i thought chin chai since our laundry load is little.....so can just add hers in as well but turns out she abused our 'kindness' and started disrespecting us and treating us as if we are tenants instead of her employers....
She is also quite bold and rude with her comments I rem once we went out shopping she was supposed to look after my boy and my hubby and I were picking out his clothes....then when my hubby picked one out she went ' EEEE so ugly'...i was like woah she's so Audacious...
Once at a restaurant also i asked if she wanted to share some of my porridge she said 'eeeeee' dont want....
                        WTF rte....
