what if the war starts when you are there?
-
Is too late to book any oversea tour. May just drive up some where in Malaysia.
-
depends on your departure date. You should be in time for those departing late week 2 onwards.
-
Ya, most likely is DIY trip, but need time to do research and planning, and may not get good deal. This Korea trip we got $250 discount per head as we were the top few to book the tour for that departure date. The others date were either fully book or if not no discount.

Sorry didn't read properly
As said will wait and see, and before departure will check with the tour agent and insurance then will decide from there.
The worst, if we are there and we are covered by insurance, we will move to a safe location and try to get the earliest flight back or even ship to the nearest country and take flight back. Pray god this don't happen.[/quote] -

We are going on 19 June. Will wait and see how's the suitation. We had bought the travel insurance, so if the war start we can get back the fund. Hope everything is fine.
We are going on the 19th June too till 26th June. As mine is free & easy, I've not bought travel insurance but that is a good idea. -
We travel the same period.

There is another way for you as your is F & E. Call the airline to check can you change the date and what are the charges. Then call or write to hotel, check can you change the date and until when. These were what we did for last year H1N1 outbreak in June. I changed the flight with just admin charge only as the new date are cheaper then our fare. The admin charge was around $200. Then changed the hotel stay to Aug without any extra charge. So we had a more preasant trip in Aug last year, as we know later the virus are not really so serious as it was told to be. -
Actually I am not too sure. I actually use my miles to redeem free ticket to Seoul. I've not tried cancelling it before. Wonder besides admin charge, will my points be forfeited :?
Hubby meanwhile is flying in from US so he can at most not stay over.
I choose a corporate hotel so I think not too bad as well.... Think it'll be disappointing if the trip didn't go through.
On the other hand, I am actually in US the week before due to some last minute meeting. Told my boss that I have to reach Spore by 18th June to catch my flight on 19th June.stayhome:

Are you on a package tour??? Will you be there in Seoul only?
I am still doing homework on where to go. Hubby was like... is it too many days. I told him to take life easy.... wake up late, go look look see see and enjoy the food. That itself is an enjoyment. No need to think must go here and there,etc.... so result oriented.
