2021 P1 Registration Exercise for 2022 In-take

Exactly like what you said. Expect a flood of neighbor competitors for all those same schools. Apply for PV to as many schools as you can, see which one/s accept you as PV.
Use the time period during your PV stint to evaluate if the school culture is really a good fit for your boy.
Bear in mind that the Christian schools can also have church members competing with PVs and GRLs under 2B.
2B <1km will get a 2nd bite of the cherry at 2C.
Fallback plan for 2CS would be Cedar Primary. -
Is there any parent here with girls in CHIJ Our lady of good counsel or chij our lady of nativity? Please give me some feedback about the school’s discipline character development and academics. Thank you:)

Hi all... First post here
Really thank all the gurus here in providing so much valuable data and insights. Finally found someone discussing about the schools around my region..
I've been living in this area for years and always thought PEPS is an ok choice to try for 2C (around 1.2-1.5x oversubscribed) and suddenly since last year... Boomz! Oversubscription rate went up to 2.5x and continues to stay there for this year... I got a shock when checking out for my SG50 boy :scared:
What I noticed is that there are a lot of new BTO in this area for the past 2-3 years. For some of these blocks, PEPS is their ONLY choice within 1km. For the blocks nearer to Bukit Batok, the other <1km school(s) have plenty of seats in 2CS anyway. So these people add to the 2C number for PEPS.
The blocks nearer to Jurong side have JPS as another choice so they are luckier? I also noticed slight increase in JPS registration. But then these people may also have Fuhua as a 2CS backup so decided to join in the fun at PEPS...
And so I think these explain the sudden increase in oversubscription rate for PEPS....2.5x is bad? then Rulang 3.5x is...... zzzzzz? -
Hi mummies! I am so glad i found this thread as i really need some advice from all the experienced ones here! My SG50 girl’s P1 registration starts next year. We stay in Woodlands but very keen in Methodist Girls School. If i do parent volunteer for MGS, what are the chances of me getting through given the history and also my child being a SG50 baby? The only chance for that school would be through Phase 2B by parent volunteering, as we do not qualify for distance. And i understand that if there are too many applications for Phase 2B, it would end up in balloting, and when balloting comes in they will only consider those within short distance?

Long story short. No chance.

You will need to do PV AND shift to within 1km to have a chance, and if you don’t shift to within 1km, you probably won’t get a chance to be selected as PV either (and that’s assuming they are still accepting PV for next year enrollment). -
